An apt definition of VISTA is here.

This is so amazing, I can't find the words to describe it. They look so real, yet there is nothing natural about it. Unless we dive into a philosophical debate... /me stops

The artists, Alex Dragulescu, takes code of found malware and has his software analyze it. After some time of number crunching, stunning images appear. These images are already being used by messagelabs; they have a few but small images.

I found this on the blog of The Washington Post, where you can find more and larger images.

Be sure to check out the other projects as well!

It's awesome stuff

That is very cool! :D

Those are very cool, though I can't help but think that the images were generated from malware code over more mundane sources just to add some sort of artificial shock element.

Still very cool :)

wonderful looking stuff - I wonder about the malware choice too  -
or maybe it was simply a comission from messagelabs
I wonder what e.g. FARR would look like..
maybe we should commission him :)

or do viruses etc look so nice because of their nature to hook into things (says he with absolutely no notion about viruses)

that spam stuff was wonderful too (link in post #2)
