So far as i know, there's no software wich can change the chmod settings at my webspace in an advanced way. I mean a bit of software, wich sets differents settings to different files (eg *.jpg > 644, *.php > 755) and in different (sub)dirs. With the feature to store settings in a file.
Why? Because on my webspace i've hosted a blogsystem, and every time when i'm updating, i've to set al the values by hand ... there are some applications (also shareware), but they don't look at the filetype.
Does a program like this exist? Is it possible to build?
