I have a few trusty computer cases that I have used for years and years. They have been used so much that they screw holes for the screws to hold in the expansion cards are pretty much all stripped. Besides go the hardware store and buying bigger screws, do you know of any way to remedy the problem?

Are there "bigger screws"? I think no.
I think i would put a little bit of hot glue "in" the holes
and make a new thread by screwing in the screw onces the glue is cold down.

Don't tested  :P

Yes. I have used short sheet metal screws in the past.

I will do so gladly. Just as soon as you send me enough Donation Credits to cover the cost of the case plus S&H.  8)

You wouldn't have any correct sized nuts lying around, would you?

If beauty is no issue, some kind of putty around the holes might work?

I have some spare cases, but wrong continent... I just changed all my machines to use the same case, the antec solo... I can recommend this case as great value for money (http://www.antec.com...ils.php?ProdID=18500) - its an awesome case, solid and quiet. It has most of the good features of the more expensive antec cases, but at a sweet price point ($50 at the moment?). The only downside is no case speaker (so take it off your old case if you need one)

I might get one of these...

Cooler Master

Micro Center Online - the center of .computer shopping_1202131248921.pngHow do you repair screw holes in computer case after too much use?

Only $20 + S&H after $40 rebate.

Has anybody used one of these before? Did you like it?

Tinjaw,
When some screws for a computer case of mine went missing I successfully replaced them with small zip ties. Pull one zip tie through the hole until the "head" of the zip tie stop it. Then tighten it on the other side by using a second zip tie. Then trim the non-needed "tails" of the two zip ties. I hope you understand what I'm saying with "head", "tail" and so on here.

no, but had a look at Geizahls.de - mixed but generally positive customer reviews - probably absolutely super at that price but not at full price (complaints about the details/finishing)
