Microsoft sets a new definition to the word - "free".. btw, haven't read the article yet..

Hmmmm...

Webroot Spy Sweeper for MSN vs. Windows Defender

Well, are they different? Any benefits for Webroot over WD?

Free tech support with the subscription (remember that it's really paid support), vs. "free" support... Don't know the quality difference, but I'm betting there is some there...

10 GB of mail storage vs. 5 GB of mail storage

Dunno. I suppose that some things are just worth paying for to some people. I am certainly willing to pay for lots of things that I can get for free elsewhere simply because they are either superior or I want the support that comes with it. Free isn't always the answer.

I just take these kinds of articles as hype and not very seriously.

In other news, you can install Linux for FREE! Great for technophobes and the technologically illiterate because the investment is NOTHING! (You see my point?)
