How much have you downloaded, in the tray?

Hey guys, im looking for a minimal software that monitors the amount of data downloaded and displays this, preferrably in the system tray. It doesnt have to have the bells and whisles, or even a graph for that matter (read - it shouldn't be a burden on the system) ! It should just record the data downloaded and show daily, weekly and monthly statistics.

The closest ive got to is NetNak, it really is a good piece of software , but i think it could be better if it had support for tray icon displaying data downloaded amount. Any suggestions?

Have a look at "DU Meter" from Hagel Technologies -

I love this program and have used it for years. The latest version has an automatic mode in which it hides when there is no internet activity and becomes visible when activity begins. You can also make it partially transparent (adjust the amount of visibility). Check it out if your unfamiliar with it.

Yeah, the latest DU Meter is pretty nice. BitMeter is a great free alternative.

Admittedly it's not exactly what you asked for, but I really like NetLimiter for this.  It'll keep track of how much has been done through each application as well as the cumulative total.
