Yay!
*plans to start a cake factory there*
One problem: when I try to create a city, I can't find my country! It's not like it's particularly obscure....

hahahaha.
back to this site..
this site is a bit boring.. i wonder if there is a similar site where people can actually stake out a location and place a little house where they want, etc.. anybody know of one?
i'm not saying i want a full involved rpg game or simcity, just something where you can "do" a little more in terms of establishing a presence.

Only one I can think of would be SecondLife, and to buy an island for Cody would require real cash for land & monthly use fees.

It would be cool to have a snapshot each day the population changed, just so we could see the growth of the city.

back to this site..
this site is a bit boring.. Mouser, I agree. It really isn't much more than a glorified hit counter. Although some of the cities set up by really busy sites are insane... I'll keep looking for similar sites, as the premise is nice.

I have an idea, let me post it and see if anyone is interested.. What about a mod for Smf Forums, DC forum in particular, which generated a kind of view like this city thing, EXCEPT: the forum user name is the name of the building the size of the building = # of posts geographic location = either geographic location as configured in signup OR alternatively, maybe draw the city as if you are drawing concentric circles, where user #1 is at center, and then the circle goes farther from the city center as member id#s increase. OR you could use the same concentric circle idea except use # of posts to determine how close to center of city they are. you could include only people with more than a few posts to keep it from getting too busy.
Anyone want to try to make it? you could ignore the SMF mod aspect of it for now -- just make a general purpose php (or whatever) pretty city generation service, and worry about querying a list of users, userid#,postcount values later.

Hey, it's been awhile since I looked this up again, but apparently Cody-city has fallen to 7% unemployment. Build some industry folks! On a further note, I haven't found any sites or apps that do anything similar, but in a more interesting fashion. It's been about a year, has anything came up?

You posted the wrong link to increase security. Your link just increases population, which isn't helping our unemployment rate, either.

Oops... Fixed. An inhabitant has left Cody City to look for a job. So THAT'S why our crime rate is down to 1%!
