Need a free copy of Windows Vista Ultimate? Are you incredibly trusting of big corporations? Well I have the deal for you, with a new program through Microsoft called the Windows Feedback Program. For the small price of privacy and perhaps some dignity, you can let Microsoft watch your every move for 3 months, in return for some software of your choice. Surveys are also required, one at the start, and then another in 2 week intervals, but compared to the bigger issue those are pretty painless. Some might find this to be an excellent deal, with software prices high, and cost of your free time to be almost nothing at all.

Through the following link http://wfp.microsoft.com/ you can sign up for this program, which has the following rules:

    * Participation is currently limited to US residents of 18 years and older.
    * You are the owner of the computer you use for this program.
    * The automated feedback program is offered to Windows Vista and Windows XP customers only.
    * The survey feedback program applies to all versions of Windows.
    * Microsoft, comScore, and MarketTools employees are not eligible to participate.

"Hmm.  According to our research, 90% of all Vista users do nothing but download pornography and change their icons."

Josh...

I have read the whole thing twice, every single page of it and I still can't locate where they say they give you anything other than the monitoring software.

Exactly where does it say you will be compensated with a copy of the software of your choice and that you can choose to receive Vista Ultimate for free? Where does it say you will be compensated in any way at all for this? And where does it say this is only for 3 months?

I am not sure what page you quoted that text from, but I can't seem find it anywhere on the site, just as you have quoted it. The only part I found is the content of that bulleted list.

So I could put this on my second machine that I hardly ever use for 3 months and voila! Free software!

OK...so nothing on the official Microsoft site says anything about them giving you any free copies of Vista or compensating you in any way, and nothing on the official Microsoft site says anything about this being only for 3 months, and all we have to go by is a 3rd party site making promises, that can't officially speak for Microsoft?

If it's not on the official Microsoft site, how do we know these promises of free Vista are even true?

Yeah I just looked too, even at some links in the comments to other forums/blogs talking about the free software. No direct links to anything that says anything about any free software except the software that sends data to Microsoft...

All I can say is dont shoot me. I am only the messenger. I am not claiming that this works, I am merely posting what I saw. I did not sign up, nor can I verify. So if there are questions, there are several sites around the web advertising this and discussing it.
