Surfer dude stuns physicists with theory of everything

There is also a related video that goes along with this.

Quote
An impoverished surfer has drawn up a new theory of the universe, seen by some as the Holy Grail of physics, which has received rave reviews from scientists.

Garrett Lisi, 39, has a doctorate but no university affiliation and spends most of the year surfing in Hawaii, where he has also been a hiking guide and bridge builder (when he slept in a jungle yurt).

And here's another surfer dude's dissertation on American history:

Quote from: Jeff Spicoli
What Jefferson was saying was, "Hey! You know, we left this England place 'cause it was bogus; so if we don't get some cool rules ourselves - pronto - we'll just be bogus too!" Get it?

Thanks app that is interesting. It would be really great to have this turn out to be correct. I've always wondered what it would be like in the world when something like this was discovered and turned into practical applications that were impossible to even conceive of before.

Ah Spicolli! Great quote. You've made me want to dig out the dvd and watch it all over again - and not just because of Phoebe Cates. OK, BECAUSE of Phoebe Cates! Curse you, Kevin Kline, for making an honest woman of her!

Well, there's some counterpoint provided by Ars Technica. I don't understand half of it, not the original paper, as short as it may be so...
