In the popular irc client mIRC there is a feature to send the MDI (Multiple Document Interface) child windows (the inner windows) to the desktop. These child windows become parent windows and they are visible on the taskbar and in the alt-tab taskswitcher which is very useful imo.
I was wondering if it could be possible to create a software which is able to 'send child windows to the desktop'. For instance in Photoshop or other MDI applications.
