Hi Mouser,

Just tried your suggestion re: focus preservation and wasn't able to alter ALT-Spacebar's behaviour...

OK just tried unloading ActiveWords and guess what? ALT-Spacebar works every time. While I mentioned that I run it in my initial post, I forgot to *actually* try exiting it. Typical.

Problem solved (at least on my installation).
