URL-Snooper --> PasstroughProxy
« on: January 11, 2008, 07:51 PM »
Hi

I often use proxies like JAP or TOR. And of course it's not possible to sniff "good" data from jap and tor because they use encrypted connections...
so it's for example not possible to sniff an .flv file-url when using a proxy :(

So i think it would be nice to use URLSnooper as an "PasstroughProxy" (i don't know how else i could describe it),
it would be possible to sniff URLs also when using a proxy.

I mean like this:

Application ---> URLSnooper --> JAP/TOR ---> Network Adapter

Sure it would not sniff all the NetworkTraffic but it would sniff all the traffic of the applications that use URLSnooper as Proxy( and URLSnooper could than use the real proxy).
UDP support (socks4,5) would be necessary for some streaming data.

To the developer(s) of URLSnooper:
Is it possible to add such a feature in a future-release? :)
