group alias name :
noresults

regex :
noresults (.*)

results :
restartsearch g $$1

g being an other alias of mine that i use to search the web...

PS: i'm using v2.00.145

ok so perlguy for what you want just put $$1 in results, and use what nitrix said for alias name and regex.

ps. i'm going to split off the noresults discussion into its own thread.

ps2. for those who don't know about the noresults thing, it's how you can tell farr what to do when you type something and there are no results and you hit enter.

Ah.  "noresults (.*)" ... why didn't I think of that... thanks! works like a charm now... I may never need the "Run" box again.

i still say thats a bug -- you shouldnt have to put any regular expression in there, it should work right away.
and i should make the noresults entry a default in the myaliases file so users can more easily configure it.

I'm using a Firefox plug-in. A lot  :)

I have a problem with Central European characters which doesn't display correctly. I tried to change font-script to Central European but it doesn't improve the situation. Check the image I send.

I'm using 2.0.0.144.
