A single-click on the text and a double-click to launch, or A double-click on an empty space in the cell
should be all that's necessary. I'll fix it if it is not behaving correctly
It works, but the "empty space" portion of the cell is difficult to click on. Is it possible to launch the file with the keyboard?

A good place to double-click is on the first column, the item number

Fixed. Clicking on the number column now works even if empty (it should not be empty, that is a long-standing bug that I need to fix. F5 to refresh and you'll get the number)

Thanks! While it can, SQLNotes is much more than to manage tasks. It is a flexible database and as such can handle all sorts of information management.

Ironically, I find that I quite like the name SQLNotes! I seem to be in the minority... I'm slowly playing around with it and like what I see so far. Thanks for letting us in on this, Pierre

Thanks for letting us in on this, Pierre You're welcomed. I'm updating the SQLNotes wiki (all can contribute BTW) to add real-life examples and applications: http://sqlnotes.wikispaces.com/

This is getting more and more interesting. My wife runs her own business and we're frequently trying to come up with ways to generate bills and invoices. Of course, she's a lot less geek oriented than I am so she may not be as excited as me...

Once set-up, it should not feel too geek for her, I'm sure. I've got many customers with little experience with PC and can use it quite effectively. I'll also be adding a locked down mode (or user vs design mode) where users will not be able to change too many things (i.e. not screw things up) (fields, grids, etc)

The SQLNotes wikispace has been updated to include an example of how SQLNotes can be used to easily generate invoices, using it "mail-merge" capabilities (we call it HTML template based exports): http://sqlnotes.wikispaces.com/Invoices

Pierre,
I'm looking at SQLNotes now for the document tracking database, as we discussed in another thread. I must say, though, the proposed pricing is more than I had expected. That's not to say it is out of line with what it should be -- I guess I just didn't know the price range for this type of application. I might have to take another hard look at Access for my database since I already own that!
Thanks.
Jim

It all depends on how you value your own time... Also the price is very approximate and will be in line with comparable products. May end-up being less. Finally, contributing beta testers, translators and solution providers get a free licence!

I've updated the wikispace to include a detailed step by step tutorial on how to do this: http://sqlnotes.wikispaces.com/BasketballStatsDon't forget to get the latest SQLNotes build. That sample is now part of the default template. File > New to create a new file based on the template
