I dug up my brothers (f0dders) spaceorb. But I didnt have any drivers for it, so I searched the internet and found some drivers on sourceforge.net, problem is that it wants windows to recognize it as a plug and play device, which it doesnt. So I am seeking help here now.

nite_monkey:
Reading on the internet, it uses a com port? can you turn off the computer, plug it in, and then turn the computer on and have it recognize it?

p3lb0x:
Nope. I tried what the installation documentation said and it still doesn't recognize it

Ralf Maximus:
Why sourceforge?

I googled for "spaceorb windows drivers" and found hits offering the original Windows drivers from SpaceTec.

If it's not being recognized by Windows PnP then it may be a legitimate hardware issue... com port deactivated in the bios or it's dead, Jim.

f0dder:
I have very likely disabled the COM ports in the BIOS... might want to take a look at that, p3lb0x :)
