Maxthon 1.6.2 "ctrl + shift + arrow" annoyance...
« on: September 26, 2007, 08:07 PM »
Ok, this is a stupid question...  :-[
I could ask at the Maxthon forum, but I know that many forumers here use Maxthon.
I always use "ctrl + shift + arrow" to select words... But in Maxthon 1.6.2, this shortcut switches tabs. (Except when the cursor is in the address bar.)
It's a bit annoying IF all you want is to select words for editing. I've tolerated this for long enough.
Anybody knows how to fix that (by removing the "ctrl + shift + arrow" shortcut in Maxthon or... some other solution...)  ???
Thanks a lot !!!!

i think Curt had a similar problem here and there is an option to turn off the hot-key combo.. maybe you'd want to give it a try.. :)

AAaaaaaaahhhh!! Lanux. You see, I knew it was stupid! I just COULDN't find it!  ;D ;D
Like Curt, I'm willing to sacrifice the tab switching functionality for easier text editing...
Better than nothing, I guess.
Thanks !!

you're welcome, Armando.. the Maxthon devs could have included customizable hot-keys instead.. :)

I use AutoHotkey for many things, but... I haven't used it to remap hot-keys yet! Good idea.
In the other thread, hamradio also suggested using f2 and f3 to switch tabs. Works well for me.
