you enabled the greyed out text input box for specifying height.
I'm not sure why you need to specify height if you've got an auto-scroll mechanism.  Can't you just scroll as far as you need, without specifying in advance?   Admittedly, I'm most familiar with HyperSnap, which works that way.  The only time I have to specify a size in HyperSnap is if I want to do an extended horizontal capture.  I have the feeling I'm missing the point here, and I'd appreciate someone clueing me in.  TIA.
FSCapture is another one, that does scrolling windows and it's free for home use:

Without the Window frame.

Thanks for the reply mouser  ;D

IMO this is not an 'effect', but rather a improvment of the capture engine. Technically speaking taking a full screenshot is get hWnd 0x00 DC and convert it to bitmap. But apps like Layers is a innovation in the capture process, you have to iterate the active & non-active window to get the whole picture.

There are a lot of screen capture software out there, but one function might make Screenshot Captor unique is layered screenshot. If Screenshot Captor do not implement this, I think some other software might fill the gap.

I used some "Gray Button Activator" hack input height.

Sounds interesting, can you elaborate on this?

I use Windows Enabler but if you google "enable greyed out windows controls", you will find out other similar tools.

Thank you PhilB66

I have a similar app but much smaller, sorry it's in Chinese but it's easy to understand, switch to any window and check the box and there you go :-)

It's freeware and freely redistributable and could be freely modified.

Thank you nosh, cyberdiva. SnagIt worked! I think SnagIt is so big for a reason.

To capture GTalk, the Extended Window Capture didn't work, I used some "Gray Button Activator" hack input height and got it captured.  ;D

Yes, there are several, I think. When you capture the scrolling window, you are simply asked to choose, by placing your mouse, whether the frame should be included or not. I made this one easily, using the $20 FastStone Capture. You can always edit your snapshots, in the in-build editor:
 (see attachment in previous post)

Thank you but you didn't get what I mean. Can you get a screenshot of this current whole webpage with browser frame?

I made this screenshot by hand, with a minor mistake (two scroll buttons).

Is there any tool out there that could make screenshot like this? Auto scroll capture with window borders?

Windows is partly open source.

Open source will not save Windows, POSIX compatibility will.

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6001]
Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation.  All rights reserved.

C:\Users\Dave>netsh interface set interface "Local Area Connection" DISABLED
Area is not an acceptable value for admin.
The parameter is incorrect.

Check your local connection name on your own machine dude

if using Vista try
netsh interface set interface <interface name> DISABLED
For example to disable an interface with its default name “Local Area Connection,” run:
netsh interface set interface “Local Area Connection” DISABLED
To enable the interface, you'd then run:
netsh interface set interface “Local Area Connection” ENABLED

AHK doing system calls, hook GTK, QT and Cocoa apps now?  ;D

http://layersapp.com/

OK, another brilliant app under Mac.

I really hope Mouser's Screenshot Captor could do this  ;D

and some post-processing special effects would be cool. OK I am trying to describe one, sorry for my bad English

Put the 'layers' in 3D view, separate the window layers Z-distence a bit, and view the windows from a tilt angle for extemely cool screenshot.

The screenshot will somehow like the Salesforce for Google Apps: Product Tour

Or just like Vista's 3D Aero switch but more realist and screenshot-like. The relative position of window remain unchanged.

Thank you f0dder & PhilB66

It's Digital Map of Ancient China software which could be downloaded from

CD1: http://www.godeyes.c...%9C%B0%E5%9B%BE1.rar
CD2: http://www.godeyes.c...%9C%B0%E5%9B%BE2.rar

It seems that software is written in VC & Access.

Nodebox on Mac

or

Shoebot on multi platforms

I am trying to dumpping an old CD-ROM, found a file named MAP.RES, 500MB, header start with EMR1, the program for map/picture navigation & possibly coded with VC++ & Access during 1998. The Window class used for display the pic/map is
AfxFrameOrView42s
.

Does anyone have an idea what format of MAP.RES might be? How to dump/export pictures out of it? TIA

I call these donate-software a kind of neo-shareware.  >:( People have to 'donate' to get a certain function, people have to 'donate' to get the first preview, blah blah blah. How's that different from a shareware? Sign.

All products are vulnerale. the USER is the main exploit entry.

No matter how safe your browsers are, if you constantly visit porn sites, chances are you will infect an virus.
Presuming you meant to say "chances are you will be infected by a virus", you are quite right. Well said.

Ehtyar.

Sorry, My English is bad   :-[

I wanna send a Space key press to a window class called
SpotifyMainWindow using hoekey, here's my config:

^@F12=Msg|SpotifyMainWindow|256|32|0

It won't work. Did anybody know why?

I tried directly call Win32 API
SendMessage(hWnd_SpotifyMainWindow, WM_KEYDOWN, VK_SPACE, NULL)
and it works fine.

Graphics drawing speed isn't everything - have you tried resizing the control panel in Vista? Graphics are smooth enough, but it feels super laggy. if that is because it's a WPF program, then WPF sucks :)

control pannel is laaaaagy because Windows has to collect *.cpl under system32.

btw Silverlight is built on top of WPF.

IMHO WPF is just a 'managed' version of GDI

I wonder which new Vista API calls they're using in order to make it initially non-XP compatible? Seems relatively retarded and pretty incompetent to me, especially when considering the huge base of XP installs still available...

Don't tell me they require DX10 for the shell :P

The reqire the Aero API on Vista. Some WPF, too.
