Mini-Reviews by Members / Re: Game Review: Cortex Command

Thanks lanux.

@p3lb0x: How do you create animations from the game? And where can I find your mods?

My mod is right here

And yeah, you can do what Shook does or you could convert a AVI file from some screen recording software.
You install mods by dumping the folder with the .rte suffix in the games folder and it will be loaded when you load the game

I think a gif showing the arguably best feature of he game, the gore would be a good addition to the review :D

[not vanilla content, it's a gun from the mod pack H-weapons (which I made) and the DarkStorm clones by Darlos9D of the DRL forums]

Cat Flushing A Toilet

And if you wanna download it :D

bumping, one of my favorite games have recently become available with trialpay. If you wanna try out trialpay you could get Cortex Command. It's great but you need a pretty powerful cpu to run it reasonably. And it has pretty shallow content since they have been focusing on getting the engine up and running, but a few mods can help that out.

Hmm, maybe you were like level 59, I am pretty sure you got into molten core at some point as I remember you helping your guild killing this

Circle Dock Mentioned on FreewareGenius today:

(see attachment in previous post)

Nice one mouser -_-

He just bought a MIDI keyboard which included a copy of reason 5 (4?), I assume he used that

I don't have a mug but I wouldn't mind if you sent it to Deozaan.

Special mention has to go to Stoic Joker who's evil cody creature definitely deserves to be evolved and go into space.

Then we could make Bird Wars, the evil Evil Cody empire versus the Cody rebels

Oh damn, Spore just crashed and apparently it doesn't auto save.

Edit: nevermind, I can continue from the point where it crashed anyway :D

Mouser told me to make a separate thread for my Cody race in Spore, so I did. Unfortunately I only began taking pics after I had the basic Cody shape in the game. So no pics from mid-late creature game or cellular.

Here I am in the early creature game, only pic I have from this part of the game. I am gonna play Cody as a evil savage killing machine because I have already played through the game as a diplomat (Besides I think Cody needs to get into shape and destroying enemy civilizations is gonna be great exercise!)

Moving unto tribal phase

Here we have the fresh Cody tribe, and the tribal outfit

Out killing animals for food, hahaha the yellow creatures in the last pic are the creatures from my previous game :D

Here I am waging war on the other tribes of the planet

Upgraded Cody's tribal outfit because new and better parts were available

Feasting on our fallen foes food

And this is where we end the Tribal phase, oh hey. Cody earned me an achievement :D

New "civilized" outfit

Civilization, isn't it great? I will smash it with my mechs!

Apparently one of Cody's ancient ancestors have mutated and become huge

Die evil abomination!

Oh god retreat, I will be back for you!!!

Hah, I've got backup!

I am kicking ass and taking names!

The Cody airforce!

A small ICBM attack later and I am off to the space phase

I decided a flying tank would be appropriate because of how the Codys behave

Our first colony! :D

And first contact with aliens, they seem friendly. I'll blow them up when I have assessed their strength

Die alien scum! >:)

Will update when I get more pics

I began playing it a bit again and redid fourballs

I am gonna bookmark this and try it tomorrow (And add it to my list :D)

I've played it now and I agree with Mouser. This is one of the best TDs currently out. On my way to update my list

Stop using IE, and start using firefox with and ad-blocker and possibly also noscript. You might want to use a tool like DropMyRights to run your browser in an even more safe mode.

Our mom had the same problem, she had infected her own and her boyfriends computer with a bunch of crap by using IE, we have FINALLY after 8 months or so gotten her to use FireFox with adblock+
