126 Software / UrlSnooper / Re: Did you know: URL Snooper can search your files and folders for urls? on: August 19, 2008, 09:03:45 PM
That's cool, I can just drop my Opera Cache folder there  smiley
127 Software / UrlSnooper / Re: Network Adapter Detection Fails on: August 19, 2008, 08:45:12 PM

I'm using my wireless adapter for the internet and it shows in Device Manager as the following:
Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN

I have exactly the same wireless on my Gateway and have the same problem.... I even tried updating th driver (wich I actually found a newer onr for) without any difference

EDIT:  See http://www.donationcoder....m/index.php?topic=13043.0

I disabled all network drivers but my wireless and deleted the SETTINGS.INI file for URLSNOOPER
After restarting the URLSNOOPER program, it worked !

EDIT: The reported error in the thread above (index out of range) continues to occur tho .... not sure what triggeres the reoccurence...not every restart has the problem .... I have to continue to delete the SETTINGS.INI file from time to time (like each day).

I have tried this program twice ...the first time it refused to recognize an internet connection, the 2nd time it couldn't access the online data base.

I would recommend you look at BLUEBOTTLE

It has "spam protection" by forcing all senders to re-certify they sent the email ... these emails stay in the PENDING box until certified by the sender OR accepted by you.

It is free (the freemail version) and has POP abilities.

as a first step, I suggest reading the event log .  it will tell you usually if you are having a problems a startup service that is timing out, for instance.

I've been using Startup Manager by Brad Stowers for years. It's an old program but still my favorite.

A feature I like is it's ability recoginize new entries since the last time you used it. Allows you to quickly review what's happening and maybe connect confusing entries to something you installed if it isn't clear from the ptogram path or name.

Well, if you did copy your 9.1 profile prior to the install/upgrade, then you should be able to revert back to 9.1 without a problem.

I *ALWAYS* backup my program files/opera folder before re-installing or upgrading (along with the profile it is is located in your application data folder instead of within the root program folder).

I also recommend UNWAND to decode your wand file into a text file in case you ever need the passords for another browser ....there is no export/import to my knowedge (would probably defeat the purpose).

Since Opera uses little or no registry entries (except if it is selcted as the deafult browser for OPEN WITH entries), then reverting is simply a matter of copying the files back in place.

also woth considering is Rainlendar (the lite is free)

And Calendarscope (not free but been using it for years)  can track events and tasks
You would probably want the free DSCLOCK which interfaces nicely to show upcoming events.
