My family, friends, and I send our sincere wishes of a speedy recovery to you!

Hmm, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Made me think.. DAMN YOU! Umm, hmm I would have to say Pidgin, Opera, and Adobe Photoshop. :)

80
Okay, thank you very much. :)  And yes, I saw too much similaritys between AcroDictionary and AcroLiminator to develop both.

81
No one is doing AcroDictionary, I have discontinued the development of it.  Also do you have any requests for features to add?

82
AcroLiminator 1.0 Stable
This is the stable version of AcroLiminator, it only makes a few very simple changes.  Read below to see them. :)  Please feel free to critique and comment.
Change log
1. Added TrayTips ( message boxes that appear above the task bar, will not work in anything lower then windows 2000, this means it will work in Windows 2000, XP, and Vista.)
2. Made the installation tool a bit more proffessional.
3. Added suspend and un suspend hotkeys, use ctrl+shift+p to suspend, and ctrl+shift+s to un suspend.

I will provide screenshots if anyone wants them, the only screenshot I can prove are the TrayTips.

Announce Your Software/Service/Product / AcroDictionary!
« on: July 13, 2007, 12:36 PM »
AcroDictionary is here!  AcroDictionary basically is a dictionary for acronyms.  Hit shift+ctrl+d and up comes a long list of acronyms, the list currently contains 1,791 acronyms, the list will grow.  I must give my biggest thanks to JoTo on the IRC Chat, he helped so much in developing the program to what it is, this of course is the snail version, I don't think the normal version is enough to be released to this point.  I hope to add a simple button or two to delete and add acronyms, soon.  Of course these will most likely not be in the snail version, unless testing proves they don't take much.  Basically the snail version sacrifices loading times for memory conservation.  Loading time on a gateway standard pc, with a 2.6mghz processor, with 256mb RAM and Integrated graphics loading times take 3-5 seconds.  Of course times may vary.  App on the IRC chat plans to test it on her "snail" and I will post the results, soon.

Anyways, you use the dictionary by typing in shift+ctrl+d, you search by pressing shift+ctrl+h.  This is considered Alpha, so bugs will most likely be found.  You may notice checkboxes under the search list view, those will be fixed in the next version, they were a simple test, and will only be included in the original version unless the snail version can handle that feature.  Anyways enough chattering, here it is!  Please report any bugs you find and enjoy!  Thank you! :)

Also, if you want to donate, please consider JoTo, this program wouldn't be running without his help, hes probaly gonna hate me for this, but don't donate to me, donate to him. :)

Another note, you will find some crude acronyms, if you would like a less crude version, please let me know. :)

EDIT: Removed due to lack of interest.

Hi all,
Here is the newest update, its still 0.1, as bugs are fixed, and stuff like that happen, the version number will increase, this is the installer file, I hate to do this, but it is required for you to have your own custom acronyms, please read the read me, to find out how to add your own custom acronyms.  I understand right now the logo and everything isn't all that professional, I have meager graphic skills, but I am trying and hopefully 1.0 (pro version, still free) will have a gui (not promising), and professional icons, more professional installer, read me, etc.  Anyways here it is, just download, and install.  If you want a zip file, just let me know and I'll glady upload and send you a link!

92
Great news everyone!! I have finally coded in the option to add your own acronyms, it requires editing an .ini file, which is also gonna require you to install the program onto your system, into its own folder, I will offer a .zip archive, and a executable file so you can decide what you want to do. :)

93
Yes, I have asked around in the forum, I got a response, which allows user input, via a user editable .ini file, but then I sacrifice the dialog asking whether you want to change the acronym or not.

94
Also, excellent job on the script, I hope to have your AHK skill one day. :)

95
Thank you Jgpaiva :).  So most likely, theres no way of having the possibility to add acronyms, without using that?

96
Ok everyone, small update, im currently trying to integrate the option to add your own acronyms, im having alot of trouble, so I can't guarantee when the next update will be.  If anyone here has some autohotkey experience, help would be greatly appreciated. And credit would be given :).

97
I hope no one else has that bug taichimaster, I'll look for ways to resolve it if they do. :)  Great idea crush, but how would I go about that :) converts to *smile* or something?  Steeladept, thank you, glad your wifes excited about it! :)

98
Good to know.  ;D Yes, I am now starting to work on the option to add your own acronyms.  The program contains over 1000 lines of code, and 130 acronyms, so I figure thats a good start I may add more later, the user input will offer alot, I also hope to have the option to delete the default acronyms aswell.

99
Haha, thank you. :)  Actually the user input is something I am currently looking into and hoping to integrate very soon, that could open up a whole new world of possiblities, a censorship tool, a spell fixer , etc.  The possibilities would be endless.

Actually it is not backward compatable like that, if you want I can code it to do that, it will take a good while, maybe an hour or so, but I can definately do that for you if you want me to. :)  The program will also increase in size, but none more then 1MB.

And dont worry your not the only one that doesn't know acronyms, I have to use weblists for most of the acronyms, that reminds me I need to update the credits list.. lol.

Announce Your Software/Service/Product / AcroSuite (retired)
« on: July 08, 2007, 07:09 AM »
Please read below for the newest version!!!

Hello everyone,
Well, im back, as is AcroLiminator, I am still retired from the ever popular game, maze craze, but after a team fallout, my game "blitzkriegs" development has halted.  So, here I am, coding, I hope to do more then get my feet wet this time, and get serious about coding.  Im only 15, and juggling football, school, training (mma) and other things.  So, please be paitent for updates.  The current release contains only 70 130 acronyms.  I hope for the next release to have many more.  Please send any bugs you find to me in a private message and I will try to fix them.  I will add acronyms as I go, the old release of AcroLiminator had almost 200 acronyms, maybe more I believe, and the code was just overwhelming.  With that said please read below for how to use AcroLiminator, and for a screenshot.  Also if you enjoy this tool, please let me know.  I dont demand donations, or beg for them, so don't worry about it if you dont have the money. Your positive feedback is as good as your money to me.  Now on to the tool.

AcroLiminator is a tool, that helps compile a  proffesional letter, or conversation, or just rid yourself of that nasty habit.  Everyones seen them, lol, rofl, afk, brb, bbs, just to name a few.  Known as acronyms, some people hate them, some love them.  But with AcroLiminator, your acronym problems are resolved.  The tool displays a message box after a word such as "btw" with space or enter hit  after the word is typed, asking you if you would like to change the acronym to the extended word. Simply press yes, and the world is magically changed, but press no, and the acronym is displayed. Alternate versions will be released with less distracting boxes, and dialogs as my coding progresses.  Yes, that may have been hard to read, or understand, im not all that creative, just say something and I'll explain it better. Now for the screenshots.
