http://majorgeeks.co.../KeyTweak_d4161.html   looks like another option, not nearly as good looking but its a lot smaller.  Maybe worth a try.

That's really mean of them Darwin, those 2 logos could never be confused, and unless Apple are now running schools seems to me there is absolutely no way any confusion could possibly occur.  Cranio is right, rotten to the core lol

These people go after grandmothers and children, I would think developers would be just a warm up exercise  ;D

104
Crippled demos should be labelled as such, if people want to download a movie of how it works then fine, but let the punters know what they are getting!

I think you should ask them for the install disks as well Curt, I noticed you say they aren't included, now would be the time to make sure they give them to you.  and have fun with it, sounds good to me.

Heh, heh, no... more a growing sense of fiscal responsibility, coupled with the fact that I also already own a license for Clickbook 11 that I'm not using as well  :o

Whoever has kidnapped the real Darwin should return him now! no questions asked, no ransoms will be paid though!

I find no script to be perhaps the single most annoying piece of software ever to be on my computer, I was forever trying to configure the thing to let me see sites I wanted to see, I gave up, life's too short.

Evernote  will do this.  Hope this helps.

Because .001% of their employees sneaked a modicum of intelligence through the recruiting process.

But rest assured, they WILL be hunted out and FIRED as quickly as possible!

Yeah a discount would be good, it looks good

I just got the movie out of the internet cache and its URL is  http://progressive.c...m_4_3_TV_-_30fps.flv  which I can't open directly but can save from the cache.

There are various programs and add ons to browsers out there that let you look at the cache in an easy way.

I'm sorry, I don't use URL snooper so I can't help directly with that

General Software Discussion / Re: The New (And Improved?) VLC
« on: September 27, 2008, 10:17 AM »
Yeah I am using windows xp sp3. A new release, a bug fix release (0.9.3) came out today or yesterday, it may solve your problem, then again it may be something else entirely.  Unfortunately their forum is closed during this release, got overloaded so if that doesn't work try there in a few days would be my suggestion.

That file plays fine on VLC here for me.  I've not ever managed to crash VLC even giving it silly files, it wont play a doc or an ini file but it hasnt crashed

UrlSnooper / Re: Newbie question - How to GET a movie from the URL
« on: September 25, 2008, 07:59 PM »
The problem I always have is finding something that will download the file that you want, maybe if you use one of the download managers and put that URL in and see what happens, I get just the blocked or unavailable message when i browse to it, and can download the blocked message as well lol

General Software Discussion / Re: Excellent RSS reader
« on: September 24, 2008, 07:24 AM »
Ive tried to use google reader, but it doesnt have what feeddemon has, which is all the posts, as an example i get the feed from majorgeeks, i'll get maybe 1 thing on google reader all day, but go look at the site and their should be 10 or 15, feeddemon gets them all.  I dont trust google reader to deliver.

Playing sports is like taking drugs.

Something you should give up for your health?  ;)

General Software Discussion / Re: Windows 7 -- ribbons for everyone!
« on: September 22, 2008, 11:41 PM »
Copying one paragraph from a badly researched wikipedia article is all very well, but at least one of the references the article uses says the the xp firewall significantly improved security, and sure some businesses may not have been ready for it, or the change was not communicated well enough, whatever.

I really do not understand how being ignorant of what the firewall is up to makes it dangerous.  Seems to me that for even the most novice user then a firewall like the windows one is a little piece of security you can have which takes no work on your part.
