Why can we not have an explicit statement about 1Password being a subscription-only service? — 1Password Support Community
https://1password.community/discussion/comment/601917/#Comment_601917

  • The next generation of 1Password apps will take full advantage of 1Password.com (including .ca🇨🇦 & .eu🇪🇺) and as such will require a subscription to use 🔐
  • Those with a standalone license can trade in their license for a special discount on a new 1Password membership 🙌🏼
  • Gift cards are available for those who don’t have a credit card or prefer non-recurring payments ✌️

General Software Discussion / Re: What Android Apps Do You Use?
« on: August 11, 2021, 11:20 PM »
EDIT: v5.6 has disappeared from F-Droid, (looks like they only keep the current and previous two versions).

Old versions here: https://k-9-mail.en....com/android/versions

Should I uninstall the newest version before installing v5.6? Thanks

Try showing this to your cat:

My cat doesn't care what's on tv/monitor EXCEPT if there is some big circle comes on the screen, then she panics like it is a horrible monster?

The video above is just an example of one that scares her -- but it doesn't have to be a moving animation -- any giant circle will do.

What's up with that?

Such big circles doesn't affect my cat. PTSD may be?

I can only get to step #2, T-Clock will be launched but T-Clock [and Taskbar] will become inaccessible, T-Clock freeze. After a while, Windows' clock will replace T-Clock. Using Task Manager, I can see T-Clock is still running.

Can't make a top 10 game played during 2020 since life seemed harder during that year and have to home-school my 2 kids (until now--school not open yet):
1. Civilization 5
2. Space Empires 4
3. Supaplex (play with my kids)

Tank and the Bangas.. Stumbled across this yesterday.. The energy and style of this band is a joy to behold.  Singer's voice reminded me a bit of Amy Whinehouse:

Thanks, Mouser. I love NPR's tiny desk. It's mid night in my time zone and I still can't find myself a reason to sleep just yet.

Screenshot Captor / Re: Default save folder and Auto Move
« on: September 27, 2020, 03:52 AM »
I vote for "moving around to subfolders would not have any effect on where new captures are saved." But as for the separate issue "what should happen if you are in a different folder and a new capture is made" I would vote for a new capture leaving the current folder and going to the new capture in the default location. You can spruce that up for people who want to put screenshots in all sorts of different places with a configuration option to disable the default screenshot directory which is always used for new captures. In conjunction with that Auto Move should always apply to one directory only (specified on that configuration page).

I second this :) Thanks

Whether you update K-9 depends on whether or not you like the changes they're implementing, the complete loss of single-hand usage and dropping out of the app instead of switching back to the account list pretty much killed any idea of updating from its current public release for me.

I don't like the up coming change. Thanks for the heads up.

I use K-9 Mail. Is it safe not to update/upgrade? IIRC Android will nag me if I don't update certain app.

My Samsung Android phone has certain apps that I simply cannot delete or stop from upgrading.  Very annoying.

IIRC, You can disable such app

I would like to share a book on regex for beginners : Regular Expressions for Regular Folk via Hacker News.

This is an experimental “book” about regular expressions. It is largely visual and example-based, as opposed to most regex resources I found while I was learning. I also attempted to choose test cases that highlight some common gotchas. I think it’ll be worth your time.

This book’s intended audience is regex beginners. Some programming experience is assumed. It does not go into advanced regex concepts like engine backtracking and recursive regexes—at least not at the moment.

This is also an open source project, and contributions are welcome.

Hi! I am 36 and living in Indonesia. I am working for a financial institution. I spend most of my free-time with my girl-friend or with my computer. Here is a picture of a crowded train I use daily  :-[ :

It's been a while since that post. Now I'm a little bit older. I still work at the same company. I have kids to spend my time. And [drum roll] I'm thankful to have DC too. :)

Nowadays I commute by riding motorcycle.
