i doubt cue splitter splits without reencoding, as MP3DirectCut does. Definitely the best choice for the job if your source is an mp3. Generally I use foobar2000 for most audio related operations though (if your source was flac/cue, i would have recommended fb2k)

A firewall would prevent the program from connecting to the net, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Keep in mind that not all of these supports all of the PDF standards. I've had problems in the past with foxit, not supporting my dropshadows i made in inDesign. But for causal reading and work not related to print, I often prefer foxit for the faster loadtime. But its no substitute for acrobat reader

Living Room / Re: New (?) music page

True, I'm aware that pandora and last.fm has been around for a few years. But finetune.com i just discovered recently, and with the "web 2.0"ness of it, I figured its probably pretty new.  I really like the idea of the shareable playlists you can make with em, and was hoping some more people would make and share playlists here. Doesn't seem like thats happening though  :(

For the first question, alt+number will launch the app for that number. For the second one, you have to see if your browser has some switches to allow links to be able to open in a new tab.

opera seems to use -newpage

Living Room / New (?) music page

Thought I'd just share some music pages I use with you guys. I'm sure many of you have heard of, and use, these. But hopefully there will be something new for someone :) Anyways;

http://www.pandora.com - Makes a new webradio-channel for you, based on a "seed", one or more bands or songs of your choice. Great for finding new music thats similar to the ones you like.

http://www.last.fm - collects stats of what you listen to, and gives suggestions for new music based on your listening pattern. Can also use it to listen to new music.

http://pandorafm.real-ity.com/ - combines the two above. Listen to pandora, feed the stats to last.fm

Last one I just discovered 3 days ago. Pretty "web 2.0" ish, so my guess its pretty new.

http://www.finetune.com - Pretty cool. Can make playlists of your favorite tracks and share em. embed a player into myspace or blogger or whatever you use.

http://www.finetune.com/playlist/1445077 - My playlist on finetune.

Edit: If people feel like it, we can make this thread into a "share your finetune playlist" thread.. ?

You understand me correctly  :) Just for reference, I'll post a screenshot to show you how it looks.

Here's another not app-breaking, but slightly annyoing for me and maybe a few others; I'm using japanese windows, so sometimes i search for files using japanese. Everything works perfectly, it searches and gets hits, and there is no problem in the results windows, but the japanese i typed in into the search field gets scrambled. No unicode?

Found a non-critical bug. Exiting from the edit group alias dialog results in a access violation error. It doesnt bring down the whole program though. I can still use it as normal after clicking ok in the error dialog box.

Edit: Sorry if this has already been reported. Too long thread, and I don't have time to read through it all.
