Sorry to be skeptical, but massive is a subjective term when there are no benchmarks. Is that "massive" by microsoft standards or massive by everyone else's standards? Because they really let a lot of us users down with their last "massively" improved OS - the now infamous Vista.

Fine, but I don't really see how this would help the cracks site. I mean, captcha phishing (yes, thank you Deeozan )  is not the same as password phishing. There is no benefit to be gained here for the cracks site as compared to implementing their own captcha solution. Unless, i'm missing something...Someone enlighten me please!

I came up with an idea which I am not sure has been implemented yet.

I frequently read reviews before purchasing a software or even installing the trial version. Normally I search through DC as it has high quality reviews, but sometimes I also look at other sites that turn up on the search results.

I have noticed that I frequently view comparison tables, like the ones on Wikipedia. (e.g. Comparison of media players) I was wondering if there is a search engine that can specifically return results of such comparison tables from across the web.

In fact, it would be neat if the search engine could generate such a table in real time if no existing one was found. For example, say I search for "Winamp versus foobar" but find no existing comparison tables among the results. It would be nice if the search engine can automatically go to the features page on both music player's sites and extract the data and put it in a new table for me to view. Or at least show the two product reviews side by side in a window split down the middle or something.

Think Google Fight, but put to an actual use.

I like Canonical and what they are doing with Ubuntu. Mozilla and WikiMedia Foundation are also worthy organizations. In fact, I look forward to an wiki/open search that can challenge yahoo and google.

This is not a popular choice among serious coders, but I would recommend getting MATLAB. It comes with a GUI builder called GUIDE that will let you make the GUI in minutes and generate the code for it. Then, all you need to do for a simple program is write up the functions that need to be called up from the GUI and link to them. Finally, you can package the whole program as a standalone executable.

Check out the specs: 80KB of RAM expandable to 200 KB (ZOMG!), 32KB of ROM and...

But 64KB of RAM is more than enough for anybody...

My oldest machine is a 286, but it got tossed a few years ago, along with a perfectly functional and working 486. The oldest machine I still own is a Athlon XP 1500 which I assembled myself and runs Win XP. But my friend has a 486 with 16MB ram that she plans to throw away. Too bad I live in a small flat and don't have the storage space to collect antique junk.

As an alternative, use Chromium. Latest version found at the top. Doesn't even require installation, can just unzip and run. All of chrome's features present (including gears), except auto-update.

I use puTTY extensively. As great as it is, it does not support clipx and its extended copy paste mechanism. I can only copy and paste my last clipboard entry. Are there any putty alternatives that allow a better copy and paste mechanism with support to copy and paste the last few entries from the buffer as well?

Thanks Dirhael, for pointing that out. You're correct indeed, WinPatrol is not a real HIPS. But I believe Comodo Firewall Pro is. I use it and it regularly bugs me with messages about changes to my registry, just like a real HIPS would.

Not a bad tool. But, as the author himself pointed out on the site, it does nothing to prevent the change, only informs you of it. Hence this program should not be used as a replacement for a HIPS tool like Comodo Firewall Pro or WinPatrol.

Sorry, didn't quite understand what you meant. Do you mean a tool to send an auto-reply message with maybe an image attached?

1. I agree with skimping on milk, it comes from the same cows. I also see no sense in buying skim/ lite milk by paying more, its better to eat well and work it out. Skim milk also tastes like water, but maybe that's just me.

2. I also avoid gym memberships and prefer running and have weights in my room, but a gym may be necessary if you are a body builder or professional athelete who needs to work out very specific muscle groups. When I was in school, my Phy Ed Coach taught us to make our own weights by filling large bottles or rice bags with sand. I used the coke bottles in particular, they had the perfect shape and grip to act as dumbells. And your muscles don't care what you use for weights as long as they are safe.

3. Pack your own Lunch; Its healthier too. I've fractured my left hand and had difficulty cooking for a few weeks and resorted to eating outside. My food budget shot up, along with my body mass.

I also believe that quality does not always mean high price. Army Surplus goods are a great example. I've bought my camping gear from there, including backpacks and tents and nearly 30% of the price I would have paid buying branded stuff such as Hi-Tec or Kathmandu. They were also far better designed and durable IMO.

I use Opera, 9.5 too and I don't seem to have this problem, despite not installing the .js file attached above. I do however have customizegoogle for opera installed. Maybe that does the trick too?

I use Opera 99.9% of the time. The only time I use FF3 is if Opera fails on a certain site for some reason. And IE only if the site fails on both Opera and FF. Usually, I prefer not to visit such sites though. I used to have K-Meleon installed as my Opera alternative instead of FF, but it unfortunately didn't support the same number of extensions that FF did.

I've got tons of crap from eBay, which I paid for and actually thought I was getting something good. One of those sellers even cancelled his ebay account shortly after, so I couldn't even leave negative feedback. Had to go to dispute resolution centre in Paypal. Oh, and I have 2 17" CRTs that work well but I have no space for. I even got them for free. Sadly, it seems that I have to pay $15 each to have them disposed off.

I deleted my partitions, made new ones, formatted and reinstalled an NLited XP. So, its definitely a clean install then.
