One more:  on the Monthly Options, I can only choose 5 or 6 weeks.  The changelog says "...configurable to show between four and six weeks."

Jody, thanks for the fix!  And the Monthly view is a terrific addition.

Looks like I'm having one problem with the beta - in the Weekly tab, marking new shows as 'viewed' does not stick - closing epCheck and then re-opening finds the shows now unchecked.

Also it looks like previously checked episodes (from v1.1.5.1) become unchecked if I increase the 'number of past days to show' and those shows then become included in the new Weekly view.

Another odd thing: several shows now have their entire history of checkoffs missing from the Series view; others still show the checks I had previously done.

:)

Jodie, sorry if this issue has been addressed in the previous 8 pages!

Looking at tonight's shows in the Weekly tab and was surprised to see no "Selfie S01E07" (yeah, I'm the one watching it lol).  Checked the Series tab and it is there.

Had the opposite problem a couple of months ago where a program showed up in the Weekly view but not the Series.

Then, I found and deleted the show's data folder (with epCheck closed), re-opened epCheck, and added it back and both tabs showed it.

Tried likewise deleting the 'Selfie' folder and re-opened epCheck but the problem persists.  Also tried deleting 'Selfie' from the Series view, closing epCheck, made sure the data folder was gone, re-opened epCheck, added 'Selfie' back but still no Weekly view.

Not a huge issue for this incredibly useful program but maybe you have a suggestion?

I agree with Xennon, this update is great, skwire.  The root folder option and the path options worked perfectly with my new age songs.  I also made a playlist of my collection of pop and rock songs, which I'd never done before, for whatever reason.

The new help file is nicely done, very complete and more informative than the previous one.

I'd like to endorse vital's request for the option to create 1 playlist in the root folder for all the songs in the sub-folders.  This would seem to be the logical next improvement of an already terrific app.

For example, I have my New Age music collection, approximately 1000 songs, in subfolders according to the artist name, 116 artists.  If I drop the New Age folder onto the app it's going to create 116 m3u's in their respective folders, which is great - very useful.

But I'd also like to, as would vital & Xennon, be able to create one playlist in the root folder that has all 1000 songs.  I do have a current m3u that has all those songs but I had to create it by copying each artist's songs into one big all-inclusive folder and then making the playlist.  Having sPlaylistMaker do that would have been an elegant solution and saved a lot of time.

Just now seeing build 56 - this is a very nice update!  I especially like the Air time, Network, and Status additions.   I probably won't use Profiles but I can see that they would be valuable to others.

epCheck is a terrific little program and has become one of my essential apps (worth every penny of my small donation!)

Thanks skwire.

@msteph: I'm not sure what the issue could be on your system.  I downloaded Metapad and it seems to work fine here.  That being said, I did increase the clipboard wait period in this latest build.  Could you please clear your cache, redownload, and try again?  You'll know you have the newer version if the tray menu only shows two entries now.  Please let me know how it goes.  Thanks.

skwire, downloaded the new .exe, cleared the cache and ran it.  It now does show the two entries in the tray as you mention ("Reload clips" and "Exit") but it still doesn't pick up the item I click on, just whatever's on the clipboard.  If the clipboard is blank/empty (via CCleaner) then nothing is pasted.

Hmmmm....

In any case, thank you very much (and pulphero) for responding so quickly to my post!

pulphero, when you run the executable, either the old one or the brand new one, does the app actually work?

skwire, this looks like a very handy little app but I must be doing something wrong (wouldn't be the first time) because it doesn't work for me as it does for pulphero.

I created the clips.txt file. ran SkinnyPaste.exe, pressed CONTROL SHIFT Q to bring up the list but when I click on one of the items, that text is not pasted into metapad (my active application) but rather whatever is already on the clipboard is pasted.

IOW, for some reason SkinnyPaste is not reading the chosen item to the clipboard for it to then be pasted.

Also you say "If you make changes to the clips.txt file, simply right-click the tray icon and choose reload."

If I right-click the tray icon, the only choices I see are "Suspend Hotkeys", "Pause Script" and "Exit", no 'reload' option.

What am I doing wrong?

>...only show the ones you want to close.

superboyac, this is a feature that I'd love to see implemented, if possible.

I've started using CloseMany everyday to quickly close a few specific programs.  I only need it for those half-dozen apps and it would be nice to have a filter so that only those would show.

Can this be done, Skrommel?

:)

I have to agree with the sentiments expressed here.

I was a subscriber to LangaList for years, both the free version and the (very reasonable) paid.  Although I didn't always understand everything Fred was writing about I read virtually all his items in each issue simply because he was honest, clear and down to earth in trying to explain computers and help people.

I was apprehensive of his move to Windows Secrets, hoping we wouldn't lose the quality and sheer quantity of his work but my worst fears have been realized.  There is virtually nothing of interest in the current newsletter.  I don't mind ads even though I had contributed money for the paid version but there's just nothing to read of any value, at least to me.  I suppose the security update stuff is important but I can read AskWoody for that.  Otherwise it's how to install Vista without buying the full upgrade or...

Heck, I can't even think of anything they have even run lately, that's how much of an impression the newsletter makes.

But all good things end and so did my paid subscription.  I do wish Fred a great retirement (it's very nice, speaking from personal experience!) and thank him for his amazing contribution to computing over all these years.

And we have the DC newsletter to look forward to and the forum here so there's no dearth of great computing info.

This is a terrific program - I use it to launch several programs and various websites daily as well as fill in log in information at some sites (email etc.)

If a person needed boilerplate text this would be great for that too.

And the price was perfect - I got it free when it was featured on Giveaway of the Day a couple of months ago.

That said, this is such a useful, well-done program that I'd almost certainly pay for it if necessary.  There aren't a lot of programs I'd say that about!

Is the latest version 2.32.01 or 2.32.02?

Installing the download link to 2.32.01 shows the program is 2.32.02.

Not a big deal for this great program but I had to ask.
