Thank you. I got that hint from several sides. I would be happy if I could control Excel at all from within GTA. I don't need to collect data from the game. I fancy an open workbook and worksheet in the background. All I want as a start is to write "1" to a column's last cell. I once was half an expert in Word-VBA and Excel-VBA and am fighting HKA at present. It works in GTA sometimes, meaning I can sent keystrokes to the game in certain situations e.g. if the text-dialogue is open, I can't open nor can I close the dialogue, however.

My question was above all how pass a keystroke to windows from within GTA. Excel would not be the problem. If I could pass any keystroke from within GTA to windows then that would be a progress.

Looking for a new challenge I got the idea of updating an Excel table from within GTA, e.g. having Excel adding "1" to the sum of a row (another won GTA race). I don't think programming Excel using Visual Basic would be a problem.  I could manage that some 20 years ago. But not leaving a running game, not even change the application <alt>+<tab>,  certainly is. Any ideas are highly welcome.

it took me days, maybe weeks, to find out about "Videobeweis" and "Shadowplay". I find it useless adopting technical language to a regional variation. The good news about ScreenshotCapter is: It is almost perfect, as it always was. Must have been something with the left mouse button that got stuck. Sorry for alarming you. Thx. :)

Not he slightest idea. One of the strangest things in PC experience after 40 years! Haven't looked into this matter deeply yet. Should there be a strange process running? I don´t know. I might be able to record what I see, the maximizing and downsizing, using Geforce experience, but I recorded only parts of games so far. It seems the maximizing reaches a peak point, from which further maximizing isn't possible anymore and reverts one step. Ich switched ScreeshotCaptors default format to JPG. So the problem vanished.

Since today the following happens: Screenshots taken by ScreenshotCaptor (*.png) and opened Win-utility photos start automatically maximizing and downsizing a picture automatically and repeatedly, up to what I consider max size and one step (?)  back and to max size again and so on. Uninterruptedly. Endlessly. Not so by screenshots taken by <WIN>+<prtscr>.

At least I´m happy to have gathered your attention for a moment. Totally ignorant as I am I was searching for something I had already got: that is Geforce Experience Shadowplay named "Videobeweis" in german, a word I could not connect with Shadowplay.

Before I download it and make another donation: I want to record short sequences of five minutes at 4K solution and 60 FPS. No image editing. No sound recording. No extra camera. No screencast. Just screen capture in motion. I´m equipped with excellent hardware. Have I found the right tool?

As I am a devoted fan of ScreenshotCaptor I was looking for a tool to easily record some game moments (GTA online)  of about 5 minutes length. All I can find out about easy screencast recorder is that it integrates into screeshot captor. But how? Where to find it? I don´t even know whether it is already in my Screenshot Captor.
Thanks for any advice.

Just my two cents: Wouldn´t a feature for a certain number of consecutive screenshots in a row be useful? That would be one keystroke instead of many. I know that the possibility to define a time intervall is already there and I use it a lot.

I suppose some of you may have experienced the same problem that I´m encountering. Whenever i´m trying to use GTA Online´s chat function the line for my remark vanishes before I´ve have finished typing. Usual autotext utilities probably won´t help. Any ideas?

Another observation that may be interesting: The game GTA which I play in fullscreen mode switches to window mode after grabbing a selected region or it (GTA) loses focus. That is I´m seeing the desktop. (As far as I remeber). A very minor nuisance, however. Just in case you´re  heading for perfection. Thank you so much for your attention. Mouser is great!

Suddenly (25.08.2019 6:00 CET) ScreenshotCaptor doesn´t work anymore in GTA online. Seems to work perfectly with any other program. I´ve taken thousands of screenshots for almost two years. I´m dumbfounded.

Don´t worry. Problem has gone after a restart. I´m still curious.

German: Software "Xbox Zubehör: Update erforderlich", though my PC is in every respect perfectly update. MS Support is clueless. dism and sfc both report 100 % OK. I thought I´ll use Xbox accessories for configuring a MS xbox elite controller. But no luck.

is there a way so save a screenshot of a selected object automatically to a specific folder? I´m trying to collect all shot objects in a folder.

Hi Uit_Verkoop3. What you have in mind is very similar to my thoughts which I wasn´t able to explain further. Only I wasn´t thinking about trigrams but "n-grams" to to speak. My proposal was splitting a string in all possible substrings. Like "Microsoft" would consist of:
M, i, c, r, o, s, o, f, t, plus Mi, ic, cr, ro, so, of, ft plus Mic, icr, cro, ros, oso, sof, oft plus Micr, icro, cros... and so on. But thinking of this kind of pattern recognition I got carried away. Ending on thoughts of pattern recognision about Chinese. And I´m still thinking. "10001" is similar to "7asdz7" in a way, isn´t it? Or "HAL" is similar to "IBM"? (Space Odyssey)

Great work. Have you considered a commercial use? Could be used to identify typos in databases. That is variations of data compared to an official list like names of locations, chemical formulae, parts of engines etc.

Thanks for the effort. That was a quite redundant question, because there is GTAVLanguageSelect.exe.
Danke für die Mühe. War eine ganz überflüssige Frage. weil es ja GTAVLanguageSelect.exe gibt.
Strange only that nobody knew about it in the german GTA-communities. :)

A registry-hack. Switch from de-DE to en-US and back. Before starting the game. As easy as that. Once you know how to do it.
Here is an example where to find the language settings. I´m convinced that would be very helpful for millions of gamers. Expandable to many languages.
