Yes it was the real guy who unfortunately spent hours troubleshooting OneDrive, an MS app that has it's drawbacks if you have thousands of files or many large ones. All I wanted was a couple folders synched for a new laptop.  Not possible without pain.
About 7 years ago I was naive to allow one of those scammers access to my PC, but I quickly realized my error and shut him down immediately.

I have been happily using Screenshot Captor for many years now.  However, I recently installed the app to a new laptop and something happened.  While getting assistance from Microsoft Support the representative was browsing my laptop to troubleshoot something and suddenly I was surprised to see he turned on my camera.  He claimed I had a camera app running which he mistakenly selected.  Indeed, I was unaware that the Quick Capture bar has a button that will turn on the camera.

Be aware that unless you disable this Screenshot Captor feature, your privacy might be compromised when allowing outside technical support!

Screenshot Captor / Screenshot Captor print option problem
« on: March 24, 2022, 02:02 PM »
I keep encountering a print error when I select the Print key option.
Ctrl-P works fine however.
How is the key properly configured?
This is from a Windows 10 PC 'WSD' port.

Screenshot Captor / How to use brush erase
« on: January 20, 2022, 05:20 PM »
I would appreciate guidance how to use the brush erase feature to remove unwanted pixels.
Apparently it is used to erase anything that is added, but I would like to remove pixels from the original image.

Screenshot Captor / annotations
« on: December 04, 2020, 09:54 AM »
I am wondering how to employ an annotation, eg, arrow, for multiple markings.  Presently I have to keep selecting an annotation each time I want to use it. Thanks

Screenshot Captor / Using annotations
« on: September 10, 2020, 12:09 PM »
Whenever I want to use an annotation (eg, arrow) multiple times in a single screenshot, I have to select it multiple times.

Is there a way to select it once, but use multiple times?

thx

Screenshot Captor / Configuring external tools help
« on: June 02, 2020, 07:05 PM »
I would appreciate guidance in configuring the external tools to upload a screenshot to a cloud service such as google drive, dropbox, One Drive, etc.   I haven't any luck with this.  Thanks

Many thanks.  Actually I did go through them, but passed up "post capture" since it seems "Capture Options" is more appropriate.

CarotDAV looks like a nice utility, but when I load files to the Upload folder nothing happens...?

Thanks for the helpful suggestions.

1. Regarding a Google Drive command line utility, I found the app "gdrive" provides this function and can be downloaded from github (https://olivermarsha...om-the-command-line/).  I was able to successfully configure the SC tool with this app.  However, to be on the safe side I used a gmail/gdrive account that is not my primary one.

2. Regarding right-click functionality, I tried this with Right Click Enhancer Pro (https://rbsoft.org/d...ight-click-enhancer/), or by adding my "Send to" folder without luck.  Part of the problem here is I don't see a "Google Drive" to send files to like that of Dropbox or One Drive.   The new google drive cloud doesn't work that way.[ Invalid Attachment ]

3. Mapping is possible (https://www.insynchq...le-drive-any-folder/) but I think it keeps copies on both ends?  I was looking to just upload the file and delete on the PC.

4. Yes, Dropbox is straightforward, but my goal is to use Google Drive.

5. Backup and sync is also easy if I just connect with the Screenshot Captor folder and it saves all the many files I make, but my goal was to click on a file I want specially to upload to a GDrive folder.

6. The last suggestion is what I found too (#1)!

This I know. I was referring to how it could be done from Screen Capture with Send To, or using an Auto upload function.

Screenshot Captor / Post-capture "undo" ?
« on: March 27, 2018, 06:13 PM »
If I set a post-capture effect in Preferences such as "Add Drop Shadow to Image", how can I "undo" the shadow once the shot has been taken?

Toggling shadow just adds more shadow. Ctrl-Z doesn't work, so seems like its too late at that point.

If so, possible to make this post-capture option so it can be edited (eg, remove the shadow)?   Would be convenient if when taking shots, you want to undo w/o having to go back into Preferences and uncheck it.
