It depends, based on resolution vs. screensize...

31  Other Software / Developer's Corner / Re: [Help] - Check if a webpage contains some text then do something (C#) on: September 07, 2014, 03:33:58 PM
You can use a webbrowser control to fetch the page, then check its content with a regex.

Network Settings Manager (both a free and a paid version available) sounds like just what your doctor ordered smiley

I wrote a tool with somewhat similar features, around the Windows 95/98 availability period (15 to 18 years ago), but I never updated it when Window 2000 (and later XP) with it's improved login procedures arrived, as it was to be started before/on top op the Win9x logon screen.
Never really published on the interwebs.

For keeping processes and services running, I wrote KeepUpApp for the NANY 2013 event.

No stopping or disabling though.

This is one of the requests I wrote KeepUpApp for...

Linking from that site is an application called SparkBooth, that is quite close to the original request/idea smiley
42  Main Area and Open Discussion / Living Room / Re: Hardware Hackers - Need your advice on: August 13, 2014, 02:10:52 AM
Well, a small touch-screen and the use of WinButtons (optionally combined with WinSendKeys) could be a way to go. It offers already quite good application-launching capabilities.

The use of a touch-screen (what it seems to be used for in several real-life situations) is discussed in the same thread, starting here, and during the process of building and testing, nudone donated me a USB-connected touch-screen (for testing-purposes Wink), that could be mounted at the booth for the user to 'press' your buttons on. The $199 price-tag may be somewhat of a blocker though.

This isn't limited to *nix TE's I presume?
44  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Looking for a time tracking tool that makes me write billable descriptive text on: August 08, 2014, 09:10:37 AM
And to add a tool that's been mentioned here before (and I've had it installed for eons, but hardly ever actually, actively, use) Manic Time
IMHO it has the features you ask for, though I've not investigated much.
45  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Looking for a time tracking tool that makes me write billable descriptive text on: August 08, 2014, 04:31:02 AM
What current tool are you already using?
46  DonationCoder.com Software / Find And Run Robot / Re: FARR's launch history cleared on full shutdown (win8.1) on: August 05, 2014, 03:27:16 PM
Using /t 0 implies the /f (force) switch for shutdown, that may probably be why it doesn't send the pre-shutdown event to all active applications?

48  Main Area and Open Discussion / Living Room / Hitchbot, a baby-Cody descendant? on: August 02, 2014, 09:46:39 AM
Last week a researchproject was started, by sending a robot on a hitch-hiking trip across Canada: http://www.hitchbot.me/
It even has instructions for anyone picking it up for a part of the journey.

Sounds a lot like the travels of DC's baby-Cody  Grin

F5 / reload worked for me.
Ah, tried that earlier and it didn't make a difference, but this time it did. Thanks!
