Database failure?

You can add the "Change View" button to the "Quick Access Toolbar" which would make this a two-click operation.
That button can also be added to the Ribbon, but you'll have to create a new group for it in one of the Ribbon-tabs, you can't add it to an existing group.

Assigning hotkeys, or at least the closest to what Outlook allows/supports, is described here: http://www.howtogeek.com/...shortcuts-in-outlook-2010

Or a AutoHotKey solution: http://superuser.com/ques...s-in-outlook-2010-or-2013

The temp 'copy' I mentioned above is actually an unpacked extraction of a completely different setup exe, not the one I created. It contains multiple identifiable exes within it, including 2 of 64 bits, a copy of MS's shfolder.dll (licensing violation?), some sort of registration dll, plus all sorts of other Delphi crap.
That is the way Inno Setup 5 works, indeed. Not widely documented though.

NB: The shfolder.dll is no licensing violation, but (AFAIK) an allowed/supported way of (easily) supporting known Windows folders for older Windows releases. If it wasn't allowed it wouldn't have been there in the first place.
31  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Convert to MSI package on: December 23, 2014, 09:28:00 AM
Well, I can't fix it, the url handling code of SMF prefixes it with http:// and the link gets the colon removed after the ftp prefix Sad
Manually fixing the url works though

Fixed the url: (Hm forum won't accept ftp links) mad

Yes, but preferably make it an option at installation.
That is not an option when installing on Android....... huh

Could be an option in the wrench-menu: "Add demo-data", and maybe also an option to remove those items (only them added using this option, or delete all items? )

Could it be that the make script messes up your $PATH setting ?
Or does it switch to another user-context for executing stuff (sudo <otheruser>) ?
40  Other Software / Developer's Corner / Re: Experimenting with Other Programming Languages on: December 12, 2014, 06:55:39 AM
On a side note, have you given Padre a try?
The amount of work I expected to be doing on this script didn't leave (much) time of looking for an IDE, but this is good to know, thanks. thumbs up
And that Padre-author seems 'quite knowledgeable' in perl Thmbsup (to make the understatement of the day tellme)

Running XP without SP3 seems like SM to me, but yes, that's a prereq. for .NET 4.0

Misc should say (1) too, shouldn't it?
It looks like the count makes the tab-title too long. Turning off All in the settings, or shortening the word to Misc should show it.

Feature-request:
  • Option per item to reset to 'never' @midnight
45  Other Software / Developer's Corner / Re: Is it wise for amateur to invest time in NET Framework languages? on: December 12, 2014, 01:46:37 AM
.NET 4.0 won't run on XP, but, sigh...
That's a typo, right? 4.0 will run on XP, but 4.5 won't.
46  Other Software / Developer's Corner / Re: Experimenting with Other Programming Languages on: December 11, 2014, 09:46:30 AM
I'll not bite in the IDE-wars (again) Wink

The last couple of days I had to dive into perl, as one of our Jira required plug-ins (Jira Commit Acceptance) is no longer supported on the latest Jira version (6.3) that we want to migrate to, and 'only' a perl script is available as an alternative.
The script was, ofcourse, 80% right for what we need, but that last 20% had to be added as well (multiple issue-numbers in a commit-message all must apply to the set rules, the issue must exist and not have a 'Resolution' set).

It's been a pleasant surprise on the ease of getting into some (to me) trickery stuff/features of the language (and Google is my friend tongue), as perl combines a lot of features from Java/C-like languages, bash shell scripts and the basic-ish language I've come to like in AutoIt3.
Ofcourse I'm not (yet) creating (or planning) full-fledged applications in perl any time soon, but it is been really easy to use. Thmbsup
47  DonationCoder.com Software / Screenshot Captor / Re: 1 Feature and Configuration Option on: December 10, 2014, 01:58:04 AM
  • Request Configuration: As there is setting in Preferences to auto copy the Capture as bitmap to CLIP board.
  • It should also do it after changes made to capture, like adding  highlight, text, border etc.
  • Request Feature: Auto Scroll and Capture feature for any window we select.
My answers:
  • That is already a setting thumbs up (Post capture options/Copy to clipboard)
  • Why and how? You would be unable to use the clipboard for other stuff while using SC undecided (Pressing Ctrl-C after selecting the image by a single click should do the job, though)
  • That's a major feature of SC, and quite thoroughly tested thumbs up (Grab windows Object or scrolling window)

Check out the SC screencasts over here
48  Main Area and Open Discussion / Living Room / Re: which phone? on: December 10, 2014, 01:46:39 AM
Mostly depends on the requirements you have for your apps and if you need to move over data from your old phone.
If you want a simple to use phone and don't want to pull out the big cash for an iPhone, get Windows Phone, if you need to do a little more complicated stuff, get an Android.

For dabbling you could always buy a cheap Windows Phone model with a prepaid card, for real world use (by a technically inclined person) I (still) think Android is the best solution.

After adding a single test-entry and pressing the Now button, I 'closed' WL using the Back button (Samsung Tab2 10.1, Android 4.4.2), and went for supper. After returning a bit later it had forgotten the time I pressed the Now button, though I'm very sure it was there when I closed it.
I have been unable to reproduce this behavior huh but I'll keep an eye on it.
I did add another entry, and it kept the Now setting, when I last checked, even after a forced close of the app.

This is looking just like any professional Android app, kudo's Thmbsup
