The problem with expect to developers to create a latest.php file is that not everyone will remember to update the version each time new software version is ready (except if they're using some automated versioning software like Trac).

Another good thing should be create a collaborative website like http://osx.iusethis.com/ for Mac apps, where the user (or developer) can add the latest version and download link, and using something to validate the information (a voting system Digg like?, or maybe a wiki correction system?) then the system will output all results (query based) in one file that can be accesed with your program and the download links directly (or page to go and download).

I used to play shoutcast.com stations with MediaMonkey.
But I preffer to use the slim and lightweight Screamer Radio, simply awesome. Low resources and play every radio format without need of codecs.

DM2 does this trick and also you can define favorites.

If you plan to add rich text capture, please add this as optional, because sure it will consume more resources and I like plain text more.

I'm using Drupal some time ago and it's a monster, but a good monster.
Also tried other CMSs and no one were that configurable and well supported like Drupal. If you see the contributed modules, there are lots and most of them well documented.

I agree that Drupal customization is a really headache, but if you get handly with it you will see that everything is really customizable without modifing the core itself.

Jaiku is a little better.. but all the people is using Twitter..

This is the more advanced TD game, since you need to create combinations of cannons. But I can't play it anymore, it waste my time!
