3  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: What went wrong with Linux on the Desktop on: August 30, 2012, 01:41:53 PM
I am not sure how it is now. Some 7 or 8 years ago when I tried Linux (don't remember which distro) desktop OS, I had to copy and paste 3 or 4 lines of code to eject the CD tray. I stopped using it from that day onwards.

Learn WordPress, master a theme framework like StudioPress's or iThemes Builder, make money.
5  Main Area and Open Discussion / Living Room / Re: Why My Mom Bought an Android, Returned It, and Got an iPhone on: August 23, 2011, 06:37:22 AM
I did not read the page linked to in the original post.

After using iPhone 4 for almost a year, I have recently bought Samsung Galaxy S2.

It is pretty easy to use. Features wise it rocks, but UI wise of course nothing can beat iOS.
6  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Does "Not yet upgraded for Firefox 4" also happen to you? on: April 23, 2011, 07:59:36 AM
There are many other add-ons to do full page capture. I use FireShot.

I am currently using http://users.forthnet.gr/...is/programs/deskpins.html

If you come across a app that shows pushpin icon on all windows title bars (off by default of course) so that we can easily just pin a window with 1 click, let me know.

Firefox is just awesome!

Can't imagine browsing w/o useful add-ons like Keyconfig, Firebug, QuickDrag, Tab Mix Plus and Text Link.

I have 31 extensions which are active.

The last time I genuinely wanted to try Linux, I remember having to write 3 lines of code to eject a CD from the tray or something. I thought that was pointless.

Windows 7 rocks! I am not sure if there are tools (that are as good) similar to Breevy, windroplr, Directory Opus, ClipX, StrokeIt, Direct Folders that make me productive (i.e., work faster and smarter) in Linux.
13  Main Area and Open Discussion / Living Room / Re: Recommend an alarm clock mp3 features. on: September 22, 2010, 11:22:36 AM
If you have an iPhone, there are several free apps that do this like "Alarm Clock - Talking Time Clock" by yong chisheng.

16  DonationCoder.com Software / FARR Plugins and Aliases / Re: FARR Plugin: TimeZone [Update version 1.4.1] on: August 18, 2010, 09:23:09 AM
@mouser or anyone else: I am on Vista. Uninstalled FARR, deleted C:\Program Files\FindAndRunRobot\, reinstalled. When I ran FARR, my earlier settings and user aliases are still present. How do I start with a clean slate?

What is/are the folder(s) that contain FARR settings?
17  DonationCoder.com Software / FARR Plugins and Aliases / Re: CZB pack on: August 18, 2010, 05:31:30 AM
No Perry. Nothing happens when TimeZone Options is selected even in the stable version.

Since FARR is portable (?), does it help if I zip my FARR folder and share it w/ you for troubleshooting?

To the OP: You just described ClipX!
19  DonationCoder.com Software / FARR Plugins and Aliases / Re: CZB pack on: August 18, 2010, 02:53:21 AM
Timer was working fine and now it is not.

Nothing comes up when I type "tm" followed by a space in FARR. Whenever I make any changes to the plugin's settings, get the error message as can be seen in this screenshot:

Any idea?

I thought it was a problem w/ beta version of FARR and since reverted to the stable version..but that didn't help.

I have installed your plugin only after upgrading to the latest beta.

The primary language is English (United States) in the Regional and Language Options.

I think this is because am using the latest beta of FARR and not the stable version.

25  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: FBx eXtender's 'Click switch file box folder feature' - can this be done in AHK? on: August 17, 2010, 01:41:05 PM
Actually I have it set so either double clicking or middle clicking brings up DF's menu inside DO.

Go to http://resource.dopus.com...wtopic.php?p=55931#p55931 for details. Click here to watch the video on how to.

Also, the "Click switch file box folder feature" sometimes only kicks in after a doing a "change-folder-and-back" in Dopus.

Yes, that's how it works for me too...not 100% perfect. Might have to do ctrl+tab a couple of times.
