General Software Discussion / Re: How to add URLs in RUNit?
« on: November 14, 2009, 03:42 AM »
I don't see an option to add a URL. Right now the only way seems to be is to add any file/folder and modify its title and path.

Also we can't just paste the URL in path when all I want is to go to a site in the default browser. I need to specify the path to the browser as well, which is silly.

Surely, there should be a better way than this?

General Software Discussion / How to add URLs in RUNit?
« on: November 13, 2009, 10:54 PM »
I came to know about RUNit, a portable launcher via freewaregenius.

I can drag files and folders into the setup window just fine but can't understand how to add URLs to a list.

If anyone knows, please reply.

Setting application specific browser seems to be NOT possible with BrowserMaster as well.

I use google search enhanced keyboard navigation greasemonkey script plus SearchKeys add-on.

After the google search shows results, the 'marker' is on the 1st result by default. Pressing return goes to it. To go down and up the search results, 'j' and 'k' are the shortcuts.

Alternately, if I want to go to say 4th result I just press the number 4.

Check the attached screenshot.

- how often must we hear this song?

I see nothing wrong with it.

He is merely pointing out that another s/w author has copied what he originally created. Copying an idea and implementing in a different (better) way is a different thing..blatantly copying while not giving credit is not acceptable.

I haven't watched the youtube video but am sure what you are talking about is the help walk-through system. I noticed it long time back.

How hard is it to at least change the stylesheet and the html page design?

Here's a possible idea: Create a free alternative (I have tried the existing ones, they are not up to the mark) to PS Tray Factory.

One can easily any other domains to the list of sites on which that (or any other) greasemonkey script should run.

For example since my search defaults to google.co.in, I have added it in the list like so:

GTBG.png

To get to the above window, right click on the greasemonkey icon in status bar and select 'Manage user scripts'.

This is a screenshot I took from a while ago.

Currently left clicking and right clicking the tray icon does the same: show BTS menu.

It would be very helpful if left click cycles between the available browsers in the list.

I have qttabbar and qtaddress bar installed in windows explorer.

When I click on a menu item of Direct Folders nothing happens. Can anyone confirm that DF doesn't work w/ windows explorer w/ QT installed?

Deozaan: I see that you posted in the other thread that Wave is similar to onenote. Did you already receive the invitation and signed up?

I am using this Greasemonkey userscript to get rid of Google tracking so the search results are clean. The advantage of this over the bookmarklet (if you use Firefox) is that you don’t need to click on the bookmarklet to clean URLs. It works automatically.

I can't locate any instructions on how to install plugins. What do I do with the .dll file of a plugin?

Isn't it easier to press win+s compared to moving your mouse to the toolbar and clicking on a button?

« on: October 14, 2009, 12:39 AM »
I see that the tracks are getting queued in Trout when they are launched from explorer.

So here's a feature request: A option to specify whether files should be queued or played when launched from explorer.

Using portable version on XP SP3.

I right clicked on a mp3 and chose to open it with Trout making sure to place a tick in the check box that reads 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file'.

I opened Trout and it's playing a certain mp3. When I double click on a mp3 in windows explorer, nothing happens.

Any idea?

Here's a screenshot of wassociate for mp3 file extension:

You might want to use a good program like Xplorer2 lite.

Open the source folder in the left pane and press F5 to copy it to the right pane. Xplorer2 also has hotkey to create a new folder (I think it's F8).
