The last time I genuinely wanted to try Linux, I remember having to write 3 lines of code to eject a CD from the tray or something. I thought that was pointless.

Windows 7 rocks! I am not sure if there are tools (that are as good) similar to Breevy, windroplr, Directory Opus, ClipX, StrokeIt, Direct Folders that make me productive (i.e., work faster and smarter) in Linux.

If you have an iPhone, there are several free apps that do this like "Alarm Clock - Talking Time Clock" by yong chisheng.

@mouser or anyone else: I am on Vista. Uninstalled FARR, deleted C:\Program Files\FindAndRunRobot\, reinstalled. When I ran FARR, my earlier settings and user aliases are still present. How do I start with a clean slate?

What is/are the folder(s) that contain FARR settings?

FARR Plugins and Aliases / Re: CZB pack

No Perry. Nothing happens when TimeZone Options is selected even in the stable version.

Since FARR is portable (?), does it help if I zip my FARR folder and share it w/ you for troubleshooting?

To the OP: You just described ClipX!

Timer was working fine and now it is not.

Nothing comes up when I type "tm" followed by a space in FARR. Whenever I make any changes to the plugin's settings, get the error message as can be seen in this screenshot:

Any idea?

I thought it was a problem w/ beta version of FARR and since reverted to the stable version..but that didn't help.

36
I have installed your plugin only after upgrading to the latest beta.

37
Just found this blog post: http://techpp.com/20...random-observations/

38
The primary language is English (United States) in the Regional and Language Options.

I think this is because am using the latest beta of FARR and not the stable version.

39
Yes, when invoked from FARR.

Please watch this small screencast: http://screenr.com/Hr0

Here's a screenshot of aplugins: http://img43.imagesh...43/4898/aplugins.png

Just installed the plugin. The settings window does not appear.

41
Actually I have it set so either double clicking or middle clicking brings up DF's menu inside DO.

Go to http://resource.dopu...c.php?p=55931#p55931 for details. Click here to watch the video on how to.

Also, the "Click switch file box folder feature" sometimes only kicks in after a doing a "change-folder-and-back" in Dopus.

Yes, that's how it works for me too...not 100% perfect. Might have to do ctrl+tab a couple of times.

Find And Run Robot / Re: FARR 2.88.01 beta - testing requested
« on: August 17, 2010, 01:36 PM »
I was using a vanilla installation of FARR. Installed this beta version on top of it and can say that FARR window comes up quicker compared to earlier.

43
Alt + Space.

44
I use Direct Folders and it provides the same feature. Directory Opus is what I use as my file manager too.

I also set it so double clicking in empty space inside Directory Opus brings up Direct Folders menu.

46
I used to use PhraseExpress. But have been using Breevy since January this year.

While PhraseExpress is more powerful, I like the simplicity and attractive GUI of Breevy.

48
Thanks for the PM Patrick.

As someone spoilt by PhraseExpress, I want to request you to add the following to Breevy:

  • The ability to set trigger mode (immediate or key press or upon Space/Tab/Enter key presses) and case sensitive property to an entire folder. Once these values are selected for a folder, all the abbreviations under this folder should inherit the same either by default or an option should be provided when the folder is right clicked to apply these properties to all abbreviations.
  • When adding a new abbreviation, have the Description field auto populate by the value of 'Replacement Text' (at least the first word, i.e., till a space character is encountered
  • Enabling and disabling the program by Ctrl+clicking on system tray icon. I know I can right click and enable/disable. Single click on system tray icon makes it a little easier/faster

What do you think?

49
Missed the deal. Any way to get it at the reduced price now?

Post New Requests Here / Re: Close window with mouse
« on: December 12, 2009, 06:09 AM »
plutokang: You might want to try StrokeIt. One of the standard gestures that comes w/ it is drawing a C to close the current active window. You hold your right mouse button down and draw C anywhere on the active window and it gets closed.
