Living Room / Facebook private photos are not so private
« on: February 01, 2011, 08:20 PM »
... You may say that the photo is private in your control panel, but that does not necessarily make it so. The privacy settings are designed to make the “private” photos public, but it does not seem to work that way. If you can see a photo, you can copy it. All you have to do is right click on it and choose “copy link” to copy and paste the link into Facebook or another application, or just click on Save image to save it to your hard disk.

DC Gamer Club / Aurora (PC Indie Game) Free for a limited time
« on: January 18, 2011, 07:07 AM »
came across this indie game which is free for a limited time (normally $5). not sure though when the promotion ends. Note that this game requires both .NET Framework 4 and XNA Framework 4.0.

A little bit of info about Aurora from the website:
Aurora is an abstract, essentialized, and simplified real-time strategy game.

You have only one type of unit to command and only one type of order to give those units. You and your opponents start the game with equal resources. Quick reflexes will get you nowhere. The only path to victory is through clever strategy.

Aurora features a slow, floating feel and gorgeous minimalistic graphics. The entire world pulses to the rhythm of ambient music, and the player’s actions evoke sounds that smoothly coalesce into melody.

This game is meant to provide a relaxing, cerebral experience. Every action has its reaction, and every option has its costs. Aurora is a game in which your choices matter.
