Apparently Light Alloy is now freeware.  I used the Google translator and scrolled to the bottom.

I won!  I'm planning some major rewrites this spring, and can't wait to incorporate a supertool like "Dr. Explain Advanced" into my development efforts.

Can't thank the folks at Indigo Byte Systems enough.  You're pretty cool too, mouser.

Apologies in advance to my American friends  Wink

Why the subtitles?  I guess they figured that people who watched the video would be just as lost as the people in it.

A person has to earn the right to sound that angry.  A first-time poster with that attitude is beyond help.

You don't have to keep it on a flat surface is one benefit.

I find that the padded arm of my easy chair, or even the side of my leg, works just fine as a mousing surface.

I've been using cheapo, reliable Microsoft optical mice for years.  Mine have two buttons and a scroll wheel.  I just bought a new one from MWave, on sale for three bucks.  Currently ten dollars, shipped ( http://www.mwave.com...%20/Keyboard%20/Mice )

Can you live without that third button?   :)

Maybe run this tweak tool and see if it gives you any ideas?

General Software Discussion / Re: Process Explorer 14

with 12.04 (running here) the process only dies on window closing IF Options > Hide when minimised is deselected

v14.0 behaves that way as well, on my system.

I find that PE disappears from Task Manager 10-15 seconds after I close it (with XP).

Has anybody worked with SciTE?  It looks to be an open-source text editor with syntax highlighting, regex, column mode, code folding, and lots of other stuff for programmers.

I find reading on a Kindle to be very pleasant.  You can set the font size, line spacing and rotation to suit.  Page turning speed isn't an issue for me.  I like being able to download the first chapter of most any book for free.

For me, avast! is about as friendly and trouble-free as it gets.

I would have interpreted that answer as "No current plans to support TheBat".

I also tend to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Agreed.  And many of us don't have the time to spend on molehills, especially when the subject is so often something along the lines of "Why does EVERYTHING SUCK?"   :)

If I google ThreadPal crack I get dozens of hits.

If I use ThreadPal as the search term for Crack Tracker, I get nothing.

Living Room / Re: What's Your Internet Speed/Reliability SATISFACTION?
« on: September 07, 2010, 09:08 AM »
Yesterday afternoon on Speedtest I recorded 12.82/2.13, this morning it's 19.93/2.13

This with Charter.

My Charter service has been pretty reliable.

I'm going to continue to rely on an AV program, a bit of caution, and weekly backup images.  I'm reasonably capable with computers, but nowhere near as smart as some of the bad guys are.

73
Now they've got a big  DIV covering the answer...

When I scroll down, the solutions are visible.

I did a full computer scan with Kaspersky IS 2010, and it caught a bunch of stuff

Then I used malwarebytes anti-malware program to clean, and that found some stuff also

Maybe you should focus on not exposing your "workhorse" to so much "stuff".

Are they going to come in the night and confiscate my 100-watt light bulbs?
