It would be nice if farr could include firefox tabs in its searches. Humanized's Enso has this feature, and I love it. A wilder idea that I haven't seen anywhere is interfacing with firefox to search across open pages for a given text string. Not sure how that'd be implemented, but it'd sure be awesome.

This should be quite helpful if someone wants to implement this.

hey mouser. i really like the new interface, but to remind you of a request i did some time ago:
did you ever use XP prof. or 2000? when your right-click on an executable, there is an option called "run as..."

clicking on this option opens up a dialog where i can choose to run the program under an administrator-account.
i would really like an option in dcupdater to open this dialog for the updaters, because i run an underprivileged account and i have to run the installers with an other account to avoid getting messages like "you must be logged in as administrator..."

picture of the dialog (in german language): http://www.screencast.com/t/sa3lzwk1

feature request: for the alt+#, shift+# and ctrl+# give an option to insert the number instead of launching an item with the "digit keys launch..."-option enabled

hey, let's include an option to start the update with the "run-as..."-dialog! :)
(i, for example, don't work with the administrator-account most of the time)

i don't quite have the time to search this thread, so i simply report it here:
when using fcalc with "digit keys launch result..." i can't type digits. maybe an option for plugins to turn this behaviour off while they're acitvated (like fc x=5 will work, but when i delete fc from the line i'm still able to launch results with the numbers)

whoops.
at least it should quit after that message? how can it leak memory then? :D i'll have to look into this.
i can't imagine how you could be happy with untidy assembler code (that doesn't even work for all) from someone who just started doing this. let me at least try to fix this first. :) i'll write whether i had succes or not.

EDIT: I see: it first gave you that message and in the second go leaked memory? did it work then?
what soundcard and operating system do you have?

release of soundzwörg
i adjusted (read: rewrote) my program to fit the needs here: feel free to use it + test it, but please don't change the "2006 by johi for donationcoder.com"-text :)
The settings you take in the settings-dialog are
a) only useful if you have more than one soundcard
b) not yet saved (but you can use them until next restart)
(and there aren't ticks next to the currently active items in the menu.)
but it works and has a beautiful icon :)

EDIT: Added it to the Post as an Attachment, thanks for giving me the ability to do so, mouser :)

i once wrote one of those myself.
one can set hotkeys for the different recording sources. I did never release it, because it was never _really_ finished with all the features that i wanted it to have, but it worked :)

edit: the above selects recording devices, not recording source lines (of one soundcard), or does it?

why are the icons 32x32?
i can only display 16x16 :/ (well, they're automatically resized, but i don't understand it)
