GOE 2007 Challenge Downloads / MyHelp - - GOE Challenge 2007 Entry
« on: November 29, 2007, 07:53 AM »
Here it is...

I represent you my new application: MyHelp v1.0

Main purpose of MyHelp is to have a program that will store all the things that we cannot remember so easily.
First make a category ( or categories . for example: "C++" , "PHP" , "Mails" , "usefull codes" or any other category you would like to have ) and then make as many entries that belong to selected category.

This way you will have your own help system, or a reminder or something like it...

You can mark some entries as favorites, and easily get to them.

You can also perform a search in order to find some phrase in an entry tittle or entry body...

I often use this programme, for example to store some important information about certain projects at work ( each has it's own category) , or to store some often used or interesting code in some programming language ( again, each language represents one category) or to store my friens' emails etc.

Hi to everyone!

Write a computer program (or web service) which helps people be more productive with their time.

What does "a computer program (or web service) which helps people be more productive with their time" means exactly? :-)

I'd like to see one more mug in my donationcoder.com mug  collection...   :)

Developer's Corner / Re: How to print more than 10000 .ps files
« on: March 08, 2007, 11:41 AM »
mwb1100 , thanks for the answer.

I am using ShellExecute() for printing files. It is not the problem. The problem is how to print successfully more than 10 000 files . No matter which extension they have. How to know (with code) is the printer bussy with printing or not , for example...

Program must print all the files one at another after pressing "Print all", not one by one manually...

Thank you again, I'll check this link...

First of all, thank you for your answers...

I'm affraid I didn't explain my problem so well...  :)

I need code examples of it ( C , C++ ) , because I need to build an application myself to do all this...  :D

Hints and links to BCB components are welcome as well!

Once again , thanks for your answers!

Hello!

I need to make an application to print  more than 10 000 .ps files from a folder.

I don't know much about .ps files, or even how to open it except with adobe destiller

or, let's even forget about file extension...

How would you print more than 10000 regular .doc or .pdf files ...???

« on: March 04, 2007, 04:21 PM »
@Renox:
thanks for the link... I'll check it out later...

I did some searching  and I found several components...

for example this one:

http://www.microolap...y/mysqldac/download/

It is extreamly easy to use and It's very interesting, but it seems like it has some bugs... Or my BCB crashed...???

If someone here has already tried this one, please tell me about your experience with it...

I'm affraid I 'll be forced to work with SQL Server 2005  Express Edition at the end, and I don't like that at all...

Developer's Corner / BCB and MySQL
« on: March 01, 2007, 04:50 AM »
Hi to everyone...

I have a project to make, and I want to use BCB and MySQL .

Based on your experience, is this a good combination...?

I often find texts on the internet saying that this is not a good combination, and that BCB and MySQL just don't get along...

What do YOU have to say about this?

Do you have any FREE BCB-MySQL  components to recommend. It also has to be BUG-FREE :-)
And the most important thing is: I need components that doesn't need any extra drivers and stuff  installed on server or host in order to use my app ... ( for example: BDE )

Haha, great site, nudone...

I have Vista for free... ;-)

Students in Montenegro can take Microsoft's products for free at the university...

For non-commercial use, of course...

But, i don't plan to use it...
I do not need OS which will  "take" all of my hardware resources...

« on: January 23, 2007, 05:06 PM »
I drank many world-known beers.

But you never tried beers from Montenegro ;-)

Montenegro is the only ecological state in the world, and believe it or not, rivers are so clean that  people stop by and drink it...
Some rivers are officialy free for drinking...

With that great mountain water we make (for me) maybe the best beer:   Niksicko beer

That's my choice...

Yes, I also think that the apply buttons are better than just one "OK"

so i returned the apply buttons, and left everything else like it was....

And THAT'S IT! No more changes!  :) :eusa_naughty:

OK, i adjusted it a littlke bit for people with two monitors...

-Now you can set VR to take left top position when resizing... (for now)

also,

-double-clicking the systray icon opens the options dialog
-Changes applies when you click on "OK" button

------Virtual Resolution 1.0-----------

First public release

-------------------------------------------
Description:

Every time i develop some application, I need to see can it fit to several different resolutions.

You could easily see this just by looking at height and width of a form, but it is much easier this way, and faster...

Select resolution you wish to check, cick apply - and that's it!

You can also enter any non-standard resolution.

I made this programme for my personal use, so it is not pro, but i use it all the time, and it helps me...
