Living Room / Flight Simulation... Do You Partake?
« on: April 16, 2011, 03:28 AM »
Any of you coders involved in flight simulation?  If so, your skills might earn you a cool $10,000 (virtual ) per project.  If you want to check it out, go to the FSEconomy website.  Registration is required, but there is no cost for the forum or the "fun!"

From the FSEconomy forum...

The Board of FSE is always in need of coding support.

The coding languages currently in use are:
Website:
Java
Java Server Pages (JSP)
MySQL

Clients:
Visual Studio (C++, C#)

We also need db management skills to help find superior ways to manage the large tables FSE uses and keep site resources low enough so as not to hamper others' enjoyment of FSE.

If you have coding skills and would like to make v$10,000 and up per project, send a PM to Chuck229 with a brief summary of your coding experience including languages used.

If you have ever been interested in virtual aviation, but were afraid to jump in, this could be a great start!  I have been a virtual pilot since 1984 and I wish there had been something like FSEconomy back then!  Since this may be a new subject, I'll be glad to field any Q & A.  I don't know everything, but I have been involved for a quarter of a century.  That ought to count for something, eh?

FYI - My handle at the FSE forum is "Bullhide009"

I am using Microsoft Speech Recognition in a specific application, but for whatever reason, weird things have occurred.  I am sure it is because MSR is reading my speech as some kind of command.

Does anyone know how to "turn off" the keyboard command part of MSR?

Thanks,

Living Room / What would Cody's music sound like?
« on: February 05, 2011, 11:13 AM »
Ever noticed when you visit someone oftentimes they will have music playing in the background.  This morning I was playing around and came up with a strain that just made me feel like I was walking through the beaded arched doorway of Cody's pad.  The experience was complete with some lava lamps, black light posters and the hint of ginseng incense in the air.

FYI - I am not the musicians.

Living Room / "Battleship" Music Machine (Chord Sound Grid )
« on: February 02, 2011, 11:02 PM »
I am asking assistance in locating something my own searches have failed to find.   For lack of a better description I call it a "Battleship" Music Machine or a chord grid thingamajiggy.

If you remember the old Battleship Game played on a 10 x10 grid (A-J and 1-10).  I am looking for something sort of designed like that.

Essentially I am hoping to find an electronic device or software which is a grid of buttons(?).  Each row would be a pitch (C, C#, D, Eb, E, etc.) and each column would be a chord voicing (Major,  Minor, Maj7th, Min7th, etc.).  The idea is press a button where the "coordinates"  converge and "hear" what the chord sounds like to identify how the chords "work" for composing.  Something like an electronic "autoharp," if you know what that is?

I never learned how to play a piano, so I have to have something that will let me tryout a chord progression before I commit it to my score.

I will be glad to clarify, if necessary, but I hope I have given a decent picture of what I am after.  I have hundreds of songs in my head and they locked in there because I can't play well enough to get them out nor can I sing clear enough to get across to someone what I'm thinking.  An exercise in frustration, for sure.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Living Room / Why does the Mayan calendar end on....?
« on: January 31, 2011, 09:25 AM »
Today, I spent roughly five hours with my wife and children discussing the hype and potential accuracy of the Mayan calendar as a harbinger to the end of future existence.  I/we have done no exhaustive research on the Mayans, their calendar or the congruency of 12-21-2012, but we haven't been living in a cave either.

My primary and salient bullet of our discussion's agenda was not so much concerned about whether 2012 will be the last year of the Gregorian calendar nor was it concerned about the harmony of the respective calendars.  No, my interest was in "why" the Mayan calendar ended?   Given, AFAIK there are no Mayans left today that can offer an authoritative explanation on this conundrum, we are left to our own devices.  As I pondered and we discussed this, three possibilities emerged.  The Mayan author(s) of their calendar...
  • ...chose an arbitrary date, say 5,000 "years" and set it at the end of the calendar, perhaps just for the aesthetics of symmetry. Who knows?
  • ...created some arbitrary and inconceivable date "out there" and then set all the particulars at various intervals to fit within that framework.
  • ...really *knew* something of a cause-and-effect sequence of events now lost to obscurity.

Since the first two bullets are arbitrary, seemingly unconcerned with the cessation of existence, we can focus on the final point.  Maybe the present and highly publicized time chart for the Maya was not their first calendar?  Perhaps the Maya have had numerous calendars over the millenia and it will be time to make the next one commencing on the now infamous date?  Occam's Razor would certainly support this supposition, but let's go to the playground of our minds and examine other possibilities.  Shall we?

Assuming the Gregorian reference of December 21st of Two-Thousand-Twelve does; indeed, equate to the last day of the Mayan calendar, was there a concrete requirement to end their calendar?  Was it motivated by the Maya institutions of religion, science or just their commerce?  Considering the Maya existed in latitudes significantly south of the known world of scientific authority in Europe and the UK, is it possible Mayan astronomers knew something the "white men" did not?

Let's consider these items... the elevation of Mayan "observatories," clear mountain air and the lack of industrialism would have offered the pre-historic and mid-historic indian stargazers a view of the heavens Spaniards, Portuguese, Europeans, Brits, Scots and Irish astronomers would have coveted, if known.  Now couple the advantages of Mayan vistas with the permanence of their culture.  Add to this the fact the Maya had written records and you have a potent mix for assimilating and dispensing cumulative astronomical, et.al., knowledge for thousands upon thousands of generations.  Is it possible the Maya calendar-makers were given the "heads-up" by these early astronomers?

At this point, I would like to offer this... technological advancement does not necessarily equate to intelligence.  Just because the Maya may not have had the "benefits" of industrial technological "progress" does not mean they were morons.  To the contrary, their culture did have technological "progress," but not the same as those aforementioned.

Given the previous commentary, I would like to offer a "possibility" for discussion.  Actually, this is only one scenario.  I suppose there are countless other possibilities, but I will prime the pump with this particular sequence which does not violate any of the above facts and suppositions.  For lack of a better moniker, let's call it the "Dark Planet."

Since almost all of scientific "advancement" was ensconced in the northern hemisphere, observations of the night sky was biased north of the celestial equator.  Simply put, not many eyes observed the Crux or any other southern constellation except inhabitants in the southern latitudes.  It should also be noted that even over the course of the year the telescopes in the north would never have witnessed southern occurrences.  What if the Mayan astronomers witnessed the rapid passing of the "Dark Planet" only in the night sky on a certain date at a certain time of the year, say every 327 years (yes, this is arbitrary, but stay with me).  Further, what if the Mayan architects and engineers interpolated certain triangulations and realized that in every cycle of passing the "Dark Planet" was getting closer and closer to a collision with our own Terra Firma?  Could it be the Mayan calendar ends because it coincides with the last day of the last 327 year cycle of the "Dark Planet's" orbit?

If this was/is true, no astronomer in the north would have witnessed the singular night's apparition swiftly emerging and then disappearing into unknown realms of blackness.  If this was the last cycle (for the sake of argument), it was the last appearance and would have occurred on Saturday, December 21, 1685.   Aside from some early and crude telescopes, there was no technology in the seventeenth century that would have been capable of disclosing this "Dark Planet" to the scrutiny of "modern" scientists.  Given, these telescopes would have been in the north, the chance of discovery was basically null.

I admit this is somewhat whimsical (fun) and a touch macabre, but can anyone disprove my "theory" of the "Dark Planet?"  No, no one can or could.  If I was to offer this hypothesis to the readers of American Scientific it could not be discounted or disproved.  They might attack the "messenger" to discredit the author and discount the report, but it would be impossible to attack the "message."  That's the funny thing about reality... you can only prove what you do, in fact, know.  You can never disprove what you don't know.   You can make some reasonably educated guesses about the unknown based on the known, but you will never be able to invalidate any scenario embedded in the unknown.

In closing, the above made for a lively debate in our home and I saw a lot of "light bulbs" turn on above some wee heads.  In truth, I do not know if the "Dark Planet" is relentlessly pursuing its malevolent errand.  What I do know from scientific report is the Mayan calendar ends and there is a reason!  What I don't know is "why?"

Any thoughts?

Living Room / "Betelgeuse" Email Doins'
« on: January 31, 2011, 07:04 AM »
I was checking out an alternate meaning of a word on www.thesaurus.com and discovered this little tidbit...

<quote>
...
Apparently, some pseudo-scientific gossip is circulating online claiming that Betelgeuse will explode in 2012, causing damaging neutrino release and gamma radiation. There will be two bright, sun-like bodies in our earthling sky, the sun and a super bright type II supernova.

</quote>

Since Betelgeuse is 520 light-years away from us, here is a dual set of copper(?) rail-splitter type presidential mintage for your consideration...

  • If "B" already went into supernova anytime in the last five centuries, it's already coming and we won't know anything until it happens which could be between now and ~518 years into the future.  Since neutrinos and all other EMR travels at the speed of light, its effects, if any, will be seen and felt at the same time. Even the Hubble Space Telescope wouldn't see it sooner.
    .
  • If "B" does go supernova on 12/21/2012, we still won't know about it for 520 years.

So, what's the moral of this story... Don't worry, "B" happy!   :P

Ciao!

Living Room / Any Good & Safe Free Movie Sites Beside StageVu?
« on: January 27, 2011, 01:23 PM »
Hi,

Notice:  While I have no direct experience, I have been advised  StageVU is a pirated movie site.
FWIW, most if not all, are not real good quality, so that may be why they are not shut down.  This is not a defense or endorsement, but a personal observation.

I would appreciate any links to other gratis-oriented sites or links to previous DC threads.  Registration is Ok as long as it is legitimate and isn't just harvesting email addresses.

I have used www.stagevu.com as a resource for locating movies.  I have discovered some real flops there, but also some real gems too!  :)

Thanks!

Hello,

I need to get some real stats on how many computers run which O/S.  My purposes cannot use "market share" as an indicator, but a best estimate of the real numbers.  I will derive my own market share and percentage numbers myself.

Thanks!

Finished Programs / SOLVED: Insert Anywhere Date and Time utility
« on: January 14, 2011, 04:07 PM »
Hi,

I need a utility that will stay on the top of my windows where I can "click" and the date and/or time can be inserted.  I am involved in a perpetual project where the entering of Date/Time/Date & Time is necessary many times a day across multiple text-entry applications.

PS - If this is already available, please post links.  Thank you.

Here is a list of requested features...
  • "Always On Top" option
  • Three Buttons.
    • Date
    • Time
    • Date and Time
      • The "Date and Time" button to include date, at least in this specific format, but others can be included...
"Nov 15, 2010 02:43 PM" (color only for reference, not needed in app.)
Please ask me for other formats, if you want to include them?
.
  • Optional Radiobuttons to select Date/Time formats *if* you have the time and inclination.  Thedat & Time format above,"Nov 15, 2010 02:43 PM," is my only immediate need.
    • "Date & Time"  Mmm DD, YYYY HH:MM AM (the same as the above exact example that is really the most important format.)
    • Another Date format MM/DD/YY (Example: 01/14/11)
    • Time format 1: HH:MM (24 Hr Clock)
    • Time format 2: HH:MM AM (12 Hr Clock)
    • YYYYMMDDHHSS  -  I use this to prefix file names as a simple date tagging system.
.
  • It would be nice to be typing in a text editor and just click the "Insert Date" button and populate it in the document I am working on, but I can settle for sending it to the clipboard if that is all that can be done easily.
.
  • Small footprint
    • Just big enough for the radiobuttons (for the format selections) and the three "Date," Time" and "Date & Time" insertion buttons.
    • Menu in Right-Click menu, if easier.
.
  • Just a thought...If app is produced in AHK, I might be able to make any necessary mods myself (once I learn AHK, that is), but any usable exec would be great at this time.
.
I think that about wraps it up.  Does this sound doable?  Can you give me a "best guess" ETA on completion?

Standing by...
Calvin

General Software Discussion / What do you know about "LiveCode?"
« on: January 05, 2011, 04:34 PM »
Hello,

I was introduced to LiveCode by a guy on another board.  Looks intriguing to me, but I am curious as to what any users here know about it?

In my discussions with him he kept mentioning that, "...it will drive you crazy!"  I finally pinned him down about what *it* was about LiveCode that drove coders "crazy?"  His response...

"Heh... the tendency to "over-develop" and/or to "over engineer" any given problem is unbelievable. Typically, when I run into problems and have to ask for help, the solutions are almost always so much easier than what I might have been banging my head over for hours, trying to work out.
That alone will make you crazy. "

A little research shows they used to be called "Runtime Revolutions."  Here's what one web site said...

Runtime Revolution has dropped the "Revolution" moniker from its self-described "HyperCard descended" cross-platform rapid development environment and updated it under a new name, LiveCode. The new version offers several new features and improvements, as well as the debut of an all-new deployment pack for iOS development.

The platform boasts a natural-language, English-like structure that offers easily understandable code and allows for instant runtime testing without waiting for a program to compile; users can even make changes to the interface or code while the application is running. The iOS deployment pack, included with the basic package, adds support for shake motion detection, multi-touch, accelerometer, photo pickers, orientation, core location and sending email. It is suitable for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch app development, and apps written for one platform can be easily adapted to others.

- Read the rest here.

Since this probably sounds like trolling (if I understand the term), neither my acquaintance nor myself has any compensatory affiliation with LiveCode.

Ok, that ought to prime the pump if there is any interest.  Looking forward to your comments.

Fair winds,
Calvin

I have to admit that returning to my VB skills via VB/C#.NET is intriguing, but when you have been burned, or more accurately, when you know someone who has been burned by the lack of commitment from Microsoft, it makes you not want to play with those matches, eh?

Specifically, I followed a developer for several years as he moved form one VB iteration after another until climaxing with VB6 which he and (millions of others which I am not personally acquainted) had their world shaken badly by the proprietary and unexpected act of dropping VB6 and going to .NET.  Know any other war stories about this?

I guess what I am really after is a tool that is as good as the pre-dot-Net Visual Studio environment that might insulate me from the whims of the Boyz in the (Redmond) Hood?

... or am I am I living in la-la land?

In fact, you can even continue working while your data is being restored!

Have you ever tried other backup solutions that would have saved your hide -- if only you remembered to run them? Well, you'll be pleased to know that, with Acronis True Image Home 2011, incremental backups are automatically run every five minutes, letting you roll back ANY file to ANY point in time! As expected, you can always tweak the program and perform full and differential backups to suit your needs!

Living Room / Yippy! Search... a new kid on the block (sort of)
« on: November 20, 2010, 12:16 AM »
In the FWIW Department...

I spent all day trying to find some information on Google and never found it.  Then I tried a search engine called...

[Click on the graphic.]

And found what I needed the first try!  Guess what was the search that was so difficult...

"Outlook 2010 next unread message"

No kidding, that's all it was and every other iteration I could think of to try.  FYI - I have no affiliation with Yippy.

PS - After a check on the DC search and finding no hits, I copied this from another thread to give it some better visibility.  FYI - this used to be www.clusty.com which was a "cluster" oriented search which served me well.

Here's some fun...

In order to understand the following I copy/pasted from our own family forum, you need to know my middle daughter, Dawn (17), is lightning fast with her typing on her computer keyboard.
Dawn Avatar.jpg

In a fun recognition of this fact two of her siblings (Mercy 13 and Amos 15) put the following together.
Mercy Avatar.jpg  Amos Avatar.jpg

I hope you enjoy it.  :)

Perhaps I'm telling on myself, but I have asked that questions way too many times about the same exact apps!  :o

Let me encourage you to keep a dossier on all the software you uninstall for future reference.  If you don't now, one day you will reinstall an app only to say out loud after six hours of configure-fiddling, "Aha! now I remember why I uninstalled it!"  :-[

What one uses is not that important.  A simple text file, Outlook "Note" or a few lines in a 3x4 spiral notebook will suffice.  The important thing is use something and don't lose it.  ;)

If you adopt this methodology, you will avoid that dumb look on your face you will eventually experience if you don't.

Hope this helps someone.

Site/Forum Features / Can one "subscibe" to another member?"
« on: November 18, 2010, 08:28 PM »
I hope I am not duplicating another thread as I have tried a search, but it was unfruitful.

I have examined the "My Profile" options, but have not found where I can subscribe to certain members.  I see there is an "Ignore" feature, but I need the opposite functionality.

There are numerous wise and intelligent folks that frequent these cyber hallways and it would be nice to know when they are stirring about.

So, how do I subscribe to particular members, or is that somehow considered "stalking" or "invasion of privacy" or some such rot?

Thanks.

Living Room / Why I have a problem with Facebook?
« on: November 18, 2010, 01:54 PM »
Facebook is all the rage these days, although it was not the first "social networking" entity on the Internet.  What Facebook did was to conglomerate a number of aspects into a comprehensive package.  Even the name was genius!  So direct.  So clear.  I have often thought that Facebook owed a significant part of the success to the name "Facebook."  Being able to say, "I'm on Facebook."  or "Look me up on Facebook sometimes...Ciao!"... was just the "cool" thing to do.

All that is well and good, or maybe not, but exploring the success of Facebook is beyond the scope of this narrative.  What is in the scope, is the problems of the paradigm.  Namely, anonymity.  "Anonymity! How can you be anonymous on Facebook?"  Well, think about it.  The only persons you would not be anonymous to would be the ones that know the real you.  When I had my Facebook account I discovered and became "friends" with a good number of people I was acquainted with for quite a while, but I couldn't tell you anything about them.  I did not really know them.

If you were able to establish an identity on Facebook (which I don't recommend) how many people could really call you on the carpet about anything you might post?  Of that number (if any), how many would even comment if you were to "s-t-r-e-t-c-h" the truth?  Human nature will feel no restraint if there is no accountability.  Unfortunately, this will breed "images."

"Images?"  What are those?  For our purposes "images" are the caricature of what people want others to see and not what they really are in real life.  "Images" are the pseudo-reality people use to hide weaknesses and inadequacies to protect the fragile essence within.  This defense mechanism is set in place because people get hurt deep, deep, deep down by some careless words or action from a trusted person.  Vulnerability in one will always demand careful responsibility in the other.  When responsible care is not taken, frivolity, casual banter or down right meanness will inevitably inflict an injury.  Given it doesn't take too many marks on the hand before one decides it is not a good idea to take one's hands out of one's pockets, you can see how careless injuries distort a person's outlook.  Our "images" allow us to not expose our real selves.  We learn that "no exposure" = "no hurts."  The greatest tragedy in this is it destroys the channels that true relationships are to flow through.

Relationships are living organisms.  If you don't believe me, just watch the next time you see one neglected and/or poisoned.  If the neglect or poisoning is severe enough or of long enough duration the relationship will die.  Given that "images" are essentially poison or at best, starvation of a relationship, what can be the inevitable outcome except weakness, sickness, deformity and death?  It is imperative if a relationship is to live it must be nurtured.  "Images," by their definition cut off the flow of nurturing elements because the very umbilical connection comes from nowhere?!?  It can provide no nourishment.  Nourishment has to come from a source that is vital and living.  "Images" have no life except the life that all parasites enjoy, but eventually the parasite is doomed to die because it is stealing the life that is sustaining its own existence.  "Images" can provide no life.  "Images" can only take life.  Any relationship connected to an "image" will die of starvation.

Facebook and other public (and therefore, anonymous) social networks are a breeding ground for the  "images" discussed above and the casualties they produce.  I made a decision to nurture and assist in the healthy development of every relationship I have the privilege to be involved with in my life.  If you are or were a Facebook member, the good news for you and others is there are good alternatives in the form of private family social networks and private family heritage networks. The key word here is "private."

Facebook and others purporting it have knowingly or unknowingly supported a tool of relational destruction that has rung up a price tag of human hearts that won't be known until it is far too late.

You may not agree, but this is why I have a problem with Facebook.

Howdy Folks,

We have a tradition we have been doing in our family for more the 20 years called,"Holiday Chains" and recently, "Debt Chains."  The "Chains" are interlocking rings (strips glued end-to-end to make a "band") of construction paper, but more on this below.  Perhaps you already do something like this too.  As I said, this is a "family" tradition (event), so I hope your "family" can enjoy it too, even if your "family" only consists of yourself and your puppy!  :)
Pssssst!
Don't expect the puppy to be too impressed.

Here is the recipe for "Holiday Chains"
  • Make sure you have plenty of...
    • Construction paper (it's cheap enough to get a bunch of it in all colors)
    • Plenty of good-quality all-purpose glue sticks are best.  You don't want your chain crumbling!
    • Plenty of scissors for everyone and be safe!  Match the scissors to the responsibility level of the participants and no fair giving the Kindergarten scissors to Dad! :P
    • Rulers or yard (meter) sticks to make straight strips, but our method is to just fold the paper to create cut lines.
    • Since this is a family event, make sure there are snacks and drinks to add to the fun.  This does not have to be expensive.  In some lean times during months of unemployment my wife served popcorn and ice water with a squeeze of lemon or lime (our choice)!
    • Good music everyone can enjoy will generally add to the mood too, but is not necessary.
  • Pick a time when all or most family members can be present many days before the intended holiday.
  • Once everyone is there, allow a vote on what colors to use.  Just because it is Xmas doesn't mean you have to use red and green, but it may require some explanation to friends and extended family.   ;)
  • Give everyone a "job" so no one gets left out and it makes the little ones feel important!
  • Make lines with the ruler, etc. or fold the paper to make the cut lines.
  • Cut the pages in strips.
  • Someone responsible should make sure the agreed-upon correct color sequence is being used.
  • Glue the ends of one strip together to make a link after passing it through the last link.
  • Continue until all the links are connected into a chain.
  • Ceremoniously parade to the location where it is to be displayed.
  • Now the [Fill-in-the-Blank] Chain is in place, assemble the family at whatever time is best each day and tear a link from the end of the chain.  The little ones love this as much as making it!

Now, that takes care of the "Holiday Chain," but what about the "Debt Chain?"

Essentially do the same thing, except for four differences...
  • Use black construction paper.  This is a good way to send a non-verbal message to the younglings... and maybe the not-so-younglings too?  ;)
  • Use a quantitative amount of rings.  Instead of days, make the links equate to some dollar amount.  There is no need to expose the amount your indebtedness to your children, visiting neighbors or the world.  Just because you are $83,000 in the hole does not mean you have to put 83 links in the chain.  Pick some factor and keep it to yourself.  In our example you might only use 41 links (we're fudging a bit here) and tear one off when you pay down $3,000 the first time.  Each time after only pay down $2,000 and tear away.  Keep the numbers to yourself, but let everyone participate.  Announce you get to tear another link off the chain and let a "volunteer" do the tearing.  I recommend hanging this along the ceiling next to a wall in the less-traveled part of your home, maybe even in a closet.
  • The third, and probably the toughest part (let's face it, debt is no fun) is to add links when you have to incur more debt (refrigerators do break down).  You can do this secretly, if you want, but you will be surprised how much you will be respected if the children see your consistency.  Again, keep the details to yourself.  Keep paying down and tearing away until you can celebrate being debt-free.
  • Given you will probably want to celebrate this landmark, I suggest adding at least one ring to the total length with a reward written on it.  The extra ring will allow the usual monthly payments to be put into savings until you have $2,000 (in my example) to spend on your reward.  Maybe it will be a weekend trip to the mountains, beach, desert(?) or just an all-you-can-eat night at the family's favorite expensive restaurant. This is why it is important to add links if you incur more debt.  It will protect the best ring of all... the last one!

Ok, there you have it... CodeTRUCKER's Famous Holiday and Debt Chains (patents pending)

I hope this tradition will grace your home and family life the way it has for ours for the last two decades!

I have spent quite some time seeking a good (freeware) online chronological tasks manager (project manager) I can collaborate with my remote sons (who drive my truck) in designing, setting up and handling numerous projects on our small farm homestead.  Unfortunately, I have not discovered any and a search of DC hasn't yielded what I am after.

Imagine handling, building a 1-1/2 mile fence, building a pole barn and planting a small peach orchard.  None of these are real complicated, but keeping track of these and a dozen more like them can be a chore.  Just trying to eliminate unnecessary (duplicate) trips to town for materials takes some doing.  Coordinating it all on some kind of flexible (things always change) graphic interface would be invaluable, as I'm sure you can see!

Here are the particulars...
  • Online tasks/project manager or project manager software that can be published to the Web.  It does not have to be interactive, but it would be nice.
  • Needs to have dependencies (Successor, Predecessor) to keep the calendar useful.
  • Should have a Gantt Chart, but dependencies between tasks are more important.
  • Simple.

If you have any ideas, I can sure use them.

I reinstalled The BAT! 4.0.38 (My latest license I have) and once I started using it, I realized why I went looking elsewhere (Postbox)... I can't read my mails!  The font is too small for me to see without squinting. >-<

I recalled I did some research on the Ritlabs forum, but never saw any definitive method of increasing the font size to make it usable for me.

Does anyone know if there is a way to increase the size of the fonts to make it usable for an optically-challenged (visually handicapped) individual using The BAT! email?

TIA!

General Software Discussion / What's the best The BAT! version?
« on: November 07, 2010, 12:18 AM »
I have a license for The BAT! up to version 4.0.34, but I have not been real impressed with all I've read on Ritlabs forums.  So, I am interested in if anyone is favorably impressed with any version after 4.0.34 and why you like that version.  Thanks.

<Edit> Added, "and why you like that version" to clarify my request. </Edit>
