You can find the last freeware version of  dBpoweramp Music Converter here
http://www.321downlo...ge11.html#dBpowerAmp

From there on i believe you can find the plugins at products current
homepage http://www.dbpoweramp.com/  ,look for the legacy codecs, the
program just went through a major upgrade and i'm pretty sure the new codecs, plugins, etc.
won't work.

321download.com is on the up and up,legit.

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/
That being said, dBpoweramp Music Converter is a very good program, and one of the cheaper
programs i've seen.
http://www.dbpoweram...c-power-register.htm

For other audio related stuff look here
http://rarewares.org/

Don't let the name fool you,it's a legit site,no virus',cracks,etc.
It's the hot spot for the latest and greatest audio binaries.

Great review

I use the full version and for 20 bucks it was well worth it to say the least.
I use it more or less to doodle around with and trace, etc. But if you visit
their forums you'll find some true artists that have pulled off some truely
amazing creations.

The programs interface is so fluid, easy, very well thought out.
People should be warned not to expect a Photoshop type thing,it's a painter's,drawers type of program.
One of a kind stuff.

And once again great in-depth review.

The program is called RSSMate.RSSMate is a freeware rss/atom/podcast reader designed to be simple and straight forward. When i say simple,i mean RSSMate doesn't get into catagories and multiple layout schemes. When i say straight forward,i mean you punch in your feed link and it reads it.Done and done,no glitter but pure gold in my opinion.

Now,that being said and given my glorious opinion, this is where my opinion is coming from.I'm a user who doesn't use hundreds or thousands of feeds,i'm more into reading around twenty or thirty feeds,if that.If you are a user that reads somewhere in the range of fifty feeds and up,RSSMate might be too cumbersome for your needs.I believe it could handle it,but you might end up in "scrolling" hell.

https://www.joost.com/about.html

Joost is like a tivo, video type thing.Think youtube on steroids.
I actually don't use it,cause i don't have a  high speed connection and
that's what you need to get the full grunt of it.

Anyhow my invites are about to expire,so... i have two.PM me through the board, with your name, first, last, doesn't need to  be your real name, you can change that later, but your email needs to be legit,i promise i won't spam.

Ok,i only had two and i sent them out.Now if you feel like fishing for one, here is a tip use google blog search
http://blogsearch.go...mp;btnG=Search+Blogs

Joost has been supplying members with invites to give away and people are more than willing to pass them out.

Sorry if i didn't choose you,i only had two.But like i said it's almost a given if you use google's blog search,you
can even use an rss feed to be updated when ever the search term "Joost invite" is refreshed .

Find And Run Robot / Re: not freeware !!!
« on: March 20, 2007, 07:09 AM »
As a member for going on two years i feel obligated to chime in at least once...

It's all good the way things are right now.If memory serves me correctly i donated some before the key system
was put into place cause i like the forum so much.I've said before,i'll say it again, this forum has some very
brite human beings from all walks of life and all over the globe.I find there is little trolling, little spam, and a
whole lot of people helping each other out. That's a major accomplishment,i know we've all
seen to many forums that have cob webs and tumble weeds rolling through them.So kudos to mouser and
it's contributers.

I actually feel guilty for not donating in a while, sorry mouser, trying to kill off a couple of credit cards before summer.

Living Room / Re: New fees are big trouble for Pandora
« on: March 20, 2007, 04:42 AM »

The entertainment industry is so daft when it comes to the internet. This is music lovers advertising their favorite artists,it benefits the artist. They are literally biting the hand that feeds.

I can understand crackdowns on P2P,that's flat out piracy. But when you stream a tune, that's not even cd quality and most people don't know how to rip (download) and once it is ripped doesn't come close to listening to the cd,that so lame. The industry is shooting itself in the foot.

83
I downloaded from the beta link and got v2.17.01,it has the winpcap 4 final, but everything else is "retro",icons,
like when i minimize i'm getting the old dog icon as appose to the bulls-eye icon.

 Thanks for the responses everyone.

I've been hammering away at it.When i tried the second drive dual boot,i got grub errors.
Then i said screw it,installed it on main disk....went well until logon. It froze up! No mouse
no keyboard. When running it in live mode, everything works, sound, everything.

Don't know,i'm running 6.10,maybe i'll give it another try when the new release comes out, which
i hear is very close.

I'm bummed,in live mode it looks really cool.

Ok,got it working ,i'm a moron.This is cool.

Ok,my machine has two hard drives, one drive has Windows XP Pro and the other has nothing (or will have Ubuntu)

Is it possible to boot from the second drive ?

Complete newbie to linux, and this is my primary machine so i don't want to bork it.

Any input is appreciated.

Are you trying to get us to download pron?  :D
Are you serious or is this clever Spam? -not being judgemental or anything

If your getting a  small container like a 1kbyte .asf file, open it up with a text editor,it should contain the
true mms or whatever.

I would suggest getting into a quick launch alternative like mouser's LaunchBar Commander or True Launch Bar
and then maybe a file manager like XYplorer...

Yeah,cloudy and snowing here

Bummer.

 Yoink!

Just purchased the Website Watcher basic.Great stuff.I won Copernics Tracker through
donationcoder a year or so back. While it's not "bad" and i didn't have to pay for it  :D i
can't slam it to much. But it's looking more and more like abandon-ware,thank you for
creating a (my) replacement and thanks for the discount.

P.S.
Among the many features that's not in Copernic,i like the fact that Website Watcher
can check text files,i.e. changelogs
http://www.slysoft.c...d/changes_anydvd.txt
http://www.collector...m/movie/WhatsNew.txt
etc.
Copernic can't do that and it always annoyed me.

Keep up the great work. You make great products.

General Software Discussion / SKETCHR-Draw Online, export to desktop

First off it's designed in flash, that bothers some, others, not so much.Either way it's an impressive use
of flash,a useful use of flash.Which if you think about it not too many people have done flash projects
that produce anything, just entertainment multimedia type stuff.

Draw online, save and share your painting. Export as SVG or SWF vector graphic. Free and Easy.
Worth a look.

A lot of you stream recording aficionados might appreciate this,i personally haven't used it but it looks interesting, what makes this stand out amongst the others is it's ability to tackle the RTMP protocols

A bit pricey,but you'll have that ($39.95)

Cut and paste-

"“Replay Media Catcher is the first ever production software to be able to capture RTMP Streaming Flash streams used by many of the top-tier content sites,” said Bill Dettering, CEO of Applian Technologies. “These unprotected, unencrypted files have been previously impossible to record for your personal use, and now Replay Media Catcher makes it possible to archive and enjoy more great online video without having to be connected to the internet.”  "

For audio and music sites, Replay Media Catcher will grab the MP3s as they stream down to your PC. It works great with sites like:
MySpace™
Pandora™
Radio Blog Club™
Wolfgang's Vault™
and more!

For capturing online video, you can record from hundreds of popular places, including:
MySpace™
YouTube™
ABC™
NBC™
New York Times™
Reuters™
Metacafe™
And many, many more!

Just a heads up.

Source: http://www.vnunet.co...ive-messenger-serves

"The banners inside the Windows Live Messenger advertised Errorsafe, an application that claims to detect and repair computer problems. The software is notorious because it often gets installed without the user's permission and because it presents false security warnings that are intended to make the user purchase a licensed copy of the software."

It's been said a million times before but why does a chat program need ads in this day and age ?

That fact that the footage went undiscovered this long is just as facinating as the footage itself.

"DALLAS — A recently discovered home movie showing President John F. Kennedy's motorcade shortly before his assassination was unveiled Monday on the Web site of a Dallas museum.

The silent, 8 mm color film is "the clearest, best film of Jackie in the motorcade," said Gary Mack, curator of the Sixth Floor Museum, which focuses on Kennedy's life and assassination."

I usually hate flash when it comes to navigation,it's not tab friendly.
But this site (it's a marketing communications company) blew my mind. :o

    ExpressionEngine Core
   http://www.pmachine.com/ee/pricing/

   Or Drupal

Both of these are rather easy yet powerful. You can go either from simple blog or
massive "site"

I too have procrastinated when it comes to putting up a site.I got the CMS,domain name, host, etc.
But need a creative boost. What to say, what to do, what to create, what to share,oh so many
choices. The brain is brewing but the fingers lay still.

I just installed xampp which has really got me excited though, developing locally is so freakin sweet. :-*
