Living Room / Re: YouTube Audio Problems
« on: August 17, 2007, 02:01 AM »
Everything Youtube is encoded in flash, maybe fiddle around with uninstalling and reinstalling adobe flash.

 ;D

See now it works  :-[  what the hell?

I still like the plugin though,it helps with multiple account logins to the same website.

Thanks for all the input all.

@wreckedcarzz

That's what i figured.I set firefox to remember passwords, then i'd go to login, press login...nothing.Right click,no options.I figured it was kinda of silly to have the option to remember passwords for no use except to remember
passwords.I don't know,i might be missing something right under my nose, which has happened a time or two.

Either way, though it would be nice to know how to do it without, the plugin does a good job at imitating Opera's
wand feature.

I'm aware of Roboform, but was wondering if there is a setting or extension that would allow me to login into sites
automatically like Opera's wand feature.I love Opera but have to admit sometimes i need to fire up Firefox and
this is a bit of a drawback, not a huge one,but annoying none the less.

Living Room / Re: How to choose a credit card?
« on: August 06, 2007, 08:36 PM »

What i've experienced too,was if your a day late, your interest rate will jump like a kangaroo.
What i would really suggest, when you say you want a credit card, just get one credit card
cause they are so deliciously evil. There is nothing easier than spending money you don't really have.
When filling out an application my advice would be to ask for a conservative limit like $1500.I don't
know your self-discipline but if you have 3000-5000 dollar limit it seems like it's oh so easy to justify
maxing it out.

Be careful.They're evil i tell ya!  :D

Thanks for input all,

What i think happened,i don't want to false accuse,i used the latest version of Reg Seeker. After i did a sweep i had problems with my taskbar keeping settings, which was a huge headache to fix and i think it jacked around if not completely change some registry keys permissions. In which,to be honest is sorta my faught for willy-nilly clicking through without seeing all that i was doing. In other words you can't rely on the default settings, like i used to.I know we've had threads on this before, registry cleaners can do some funky things.Live and learn and i did learn.

62
Thanks guys,i've been pounding away at a few problems with Dial-a-fix,and massive data mining of the internet,i've said it before and i'll say it again, this has to be one of the more educated and polite forums, not to be smug or snobbish but in my research, one of which problems being a taskbar that would not keep my settings (now resolved) i must of come across twenty or so forums that was baked in spam and ads so obnoxious,i know ya gotta turn a buck for the bandwidth, but don't make something pop up every time i drag my mouse accross the screen.

I've also been medicating a migraine that actually put me in the emergency room.A cat scan and an i.v. of dilaudid later they wanted to do a spinal tap, went with the drug treatment instead,Oxycodone is a fun little pain killer.
Kills the pain, and gives you that nice warm feeling like being buzzed on beer without the bloat.

Once again thanks for responses.

63
I think i borked my system with some registry cleaning (never again) anyhow....
I'd hate do a complete reformat, does the system restore leave the machine sluggish after it "fixes" things?

64
Thanks for response,
no i haven't made any changes. Now when i ran the msi installer it caughed out a error that read something about not having the proper permissions for mediaplayer/FilterShimDllExclusionList i fooled around with that for a minute giving admin permission and just about everthing else and it rejected my input,so pushed ignore error on opera's installer and i guess,so far everything is cool.Just miffed. It's one of those things you sort of got it working but wanna know how and why just the same.

65
I've already opted for the windows installer (newer) after trying for almost an hour.To tell the truth i can't tell the difference but it still irks me to no end.I always run as admin.Any one ever have this problem...with any application?

66
Hmm,i'm still getting v2.17.01

You sure you put 2.18.01 up,mouser ?

67
Yeah,i still got four one.You gotta pm me your email address through the forum though. If you post your email in the open on a forum,i garantee you ,you will get nailed by spammers. It's just a safety measure.Spammers are vampires.

68
Elusive,yet obvious,thank you.

Yeah,i have a sneaky suspicion my phone company slowed down my dial-up even more than it was.
Pretty bad when google's home page takes like five seconds to load. My internet rage gets
worse than my road rage.

@lanux128
Thanks again for the link.

I'm getting DSL tommorow,i've done alot of tweaks to services, registry, etc. and want to meet the DSL installation with a fresh reformatted install of XP,i'm strange that way.

Anyhow,i've invest a lot of time into some of my Opera Settings,my main concern is the Wand passwords.
I've lazy, any advice and or direction will be appreciated.

P.S.
I'm quite possibly the last Dial-up hold out on the planet, when MccDonald's wireless access is faster than
your home hook-up it's time to sell plasma.

General Software Discussion / Re: Converting from FLV to AVI
« on: May 09, 2007, 03:32 AM »
Good stuff,i've used it for a while and wonder why their isn't more applications that do the same.It really
is hard to find a program that converts from flv.

72
I use WeBuilder 2006,and it's pretty good.It says it's usually $99.85  :P,i purchased back in the day for like 40 bucks.
I don't ever remember it being $99.85,maybe it's a sign of things to come,hope not.If so,$99.85 is criminal.

They charge for major upgrades,so when the product has 2006 on the end of it and we're almost mid 2007,i'd
read the fine print.I'm not stomping on the offer, but i'm almost positive a new version of WeBuilder due out
later this summer will be a paid upgrade,so choose wisely.

General Software Discussion / Re: Google Video Player
« on: April 14, 2007, 06:28 PM »

It's kinda nuts that it won't play other formats.I've had it installed for quite some time but never use it.
I'm surprised Google hasn't branched out into the all out all-in-one media player. They have the power to
give open source formats like Ogg Vorbis and Theora a much needed boost.

I want more desktop and less online apps but that sure isn't the trend these days.

General Software Discussion / Re: Drupal is f*cked
« on: April 10, 2007, 05:02 AM »
 I couldn't agree more

I was pumped with the release of version five.It was super easy to install, two weeks
later there was a security update,i botched it.I tried to follow instructions on the site,
their docs are like an unkept wiki.Since Version 5 is their flagship product, they should
gut all the old info, plugins, etc before version five, imho. So i did a fresh install, then i got
spooked...you spend all your hard work, design, etc and you know your going to have a horrible time updating. That, and i don't know,i just don't like the "node" thing.
