Thanks Stefan,
That is actually the first thing I tried, but could not find it. I do not know if it is set to not cache, but a search of my temp and temp internet folders does not show the .swf file.

Carol,
Thanks a million dear. One of these days I will sit down and really learn to use the URLSnooper correctly.

29
I tried using URLSnooper but failed miserably. I was trying to get just the swf so I could send it to a friend. If I sent her the url that is posted above, I think I would seriously offend her (she does not tolerate any nudity or porno). I can appreciate her views although it does not bother me at all.

So now to my point. Does anyone have the URL where I can download it directly?

Very much appreciated. I love the "unread post" link. Makes it so much easier to get to the new posts.

Too bad there is not a mandatory charge of being nice to strangers. That would make this little planet of ours a much better place. :)

General Software Discussion / Re: Explorer XP

I do not mind at all if you use my comments.

I used to use WinMe at one point, but it was never very stable for me. After about a month I wiped the drive and went back to 98SE (until XP came out). One of these days I will get serious about Linux, as I have Debian installed on an old PII 300Mhz box that I have sitting around taking up space.

This is the first of the replacements I have used for Windows Exploder. I needed to delete a file that was in a protected directory that Exploder would not even allow me to see. After looking around for a couple of hours, ExplorerXP seemed to have the capabilities I needed. I think one of the best features I found with it is the tabbed interface that also remembers the directories that you were in, unless of course you close out of that directory. Since I started using ExplorerXP, I really have not found anything it is lacking that would prompt me to look to replace it.

I like the idea of members can download immediately and non members need to wait 30 days until it is available for download. Another small side effect of this could be that bugs get worked out before it is released in the wild.

I am not sure if most people still use Windows Explorer, but I gave up on it some time ago. I found an app called ExplorerXP at http://www.explorerxp.com/ that is fast and free. I had found that regardless of my preference settings with Windows, some folders were still hidden by Windows Explorer. Not so with ExplorerXP. As the name implies, this app is only designed for Win XP/2000.

Just thought I would share one of the apps I find very usefull.

Clipboard Help+Spell / Re: New Program Found...
« on: September 23, 2005, 07:37 PM »
Nice find. I just downloaded the program and installed it onto one of my spare USB flash drives. It has a small footprint and I think will make a most excellent portable information manager. Fast and clean. Thanks for the heads up on this Kevin.

Screenshot Captor / Re: Screenshot Captor - License file

Being slightly annoying for a person to use for free was kinda my point (in a polite kind of way). After all, if they only donated a small amount once they would get a key that would remove nag screens permanently for all of the programs. I just view a monthly reminder of what you are getting for free as an "encouragement" to help support the ones that are doing the work. After all, giving so much of yourself fo nothing is actually costing you.

Thanks for all you do.

I love the donationware idea. However ther is one part I wold like for you to think about. A lot of effort goes into these programs, the website, forum and such. I would like to see the reminder pop up every 30 days or after the 1st of the month, every month, if a donation was not made. After all, the site is called DonationCoder. I think that it would not be a real problem for people to get a new key, or show a little appreciation and donate a couple of dollars. Mouser, Skrommel and the others posting thier work here do it for the love of it, so those that love the programs should donate, the others should just get a new key every month.

Just my 2 cents worth.

The Form Letter Machine / Re: TheBat plugin for The Form Letter Machine

I, for one, would be interested in the plug in. Even if it does have limited documentation. I am not sure if I can figure out how to install the plug in, but I am willing to give it a shot.
