About me:
Former student of Computer Science (Technische Informatik)
University of Applied Sciences Konstanz (HTWG Konstanz)

Born 1983 in Konstanz, Gregor always had a special interest in computers ever since his early childhood when he happened to be able to play with a Commodore 64 at a friend's place.
Around the age of 8 he finally was able to call this exact Commodore 64 his own and started programming BASIC right away.

He first got into contact with the Linux operating system in the late '90s.
Around the year 2000 the first Linux-only computer was set up as a firewall, file- and webserver leading to a total switch over from Microsoft Windows to Linux in early 2003.
Ever since all his Computers, no matter if it's the server, workstation or laptop, run on Linux, preferably Gentoo.

The only tainted system left is his Laptop, where he needed Windows 2000 to programm software as part of his part-time job at a bio-technology camera manufacturer.

Gregor has experience in programming for Linux and Windows in C, C++, Perl, Java, Shellscript and various other languages.
