Just had a thought when I was booting CD from my flash drive... when you unplug the drive the instance of cd still remains up. Could there be a "close dock" option in the special section of add new item? though this maybe a lazy way to close the dock as you could just right click and close it, but it seems i am rambleing so anyway tell me what you think...

my options in making a animation were very limited, but I got 2 examples for ya. one is a gif image but i lost my edge smoothing in this so it may not be a good choice. [attach] the other is a new format to me it is a moving PNG which is a MPG. I was pretty excited when i found this type but don't know if it is supported, if so then there ya go.

thanks Ltan the picture could be made smaller without it getting messed up I think, useing the program paint.net should do the trick. I'll see what can be done about the background text

I completely agree with this, however I do not have the money to change to windows 7 64 bit but this is something I WILL do in the future. change is what preserves us all, we cannot allow ourselves to become stagnant.
To the Sarge... Well said! Had we all just said "why change if it works" computers would still be the size of a room (if they would have been invented at all) technology is the future, and it continues to advance every day as you said... if we stop advanceing we are on the quick path to doom.

Im not sure if it would be a 64 bit issue besause im running the 32 bit version of windows 7 toggleing the dock invisibility doesnt work i usually have to add another icon to the dock for it to rerender the whole dock. what Markham said about rotating the dock works too.

the empty spots in my dock are supposed to have icons there, but the icons where rendered in the top left corner on top of each other...
I run windows 7 .net fremework 3.5
hwever the only way that this problem duplicates itself is completely random. when it will happen i have no idea.
I wasnt running multiple docks at the time, in fact all times this happened is when i wasn't.
