that sucks  :(

I'll be honest in saying I have no idea now.... i'd wait for either Sarge or Markham to respond on this.
it'll be safe to assume then that all attempts with working with the config file failed miserably? hmmm... Completely stumped now  :o

only suggestion now from me is to start over... had to do this a few times too, but in the end got the program to work...
starting multiple instances is kinda weird... you dont want to start each one at the same time. you got to do it in an order, like start first one once loaded start another and so forth..

I did make a bat file that will execute each instance of cd in turn, this may solve your startup errors it did for me about 90% of the time

here's the code...

timeout 10
start C:\"Circle Dock4"\"CircleDock.exe"
timeout 20
start C:\"Circle Dock3"\"CircleDock.exe"
timeout 20
start C:\"Circle Dock2"\"CircleDock.exe"
timeout 20
start C:\"Circle Dock1"\"CircleDock.exe"

exit

*****
use this code in a txt file and save it with the extension .bat and it should work... you'll have to change each file to your cd locations

hope that helps  :D

as for the password error I got no idea, sorry  :(

it might be in the config.ini file in the settings folder... other than that i'd save the config file and move it to a fresh install... that might help  :-[

« on: June 26, 2010, 01:51 AM »
hmmm..... there's the config.ini file that saves your settings (80% sure) maybe install another dock, not over your current but in a new directiory. copy the config file to that settings folder and run that dock. then see if you encounter the same problem?  :-[

I wouldn't say that it is unstable... how many programs are there out there that are "bug free", every program has its faults.  ;)

but anyway i had the same issue when I had the old alpha release, so which version are you running?

if its a older version, I'd recommend upgrading... if you have a newer version, reinstalling might work so try that...

hope this helps

hmmmm.... I'm completely stumped now  :-[

my last suggestion before i look around online for some answers would be to reinstall CD, or like you said reinstall sniping tool- if possible

maybe copy the snipping tool from your laptop and move it to where the other snipping tool is on you other comp.... might work but not entirely sure  :-[ ***update*** i'd backup though... ******

sorry i could be much help in this...  :(

it looks like you put a space in "snippingtool.exe" in in your settings because it is showing it in the error report looking like this "snipping tool.exe". it may just be me though. remove the space in the filename and it should work

heres settings to get the snipping tool up and running

not sure why yours didn't work though

***update***

try putting a shortcut of the snipping tool on the desktop then move the link into the dock.
if prompted to delete the shortcut... thats your choice.
see if that works  :P

sounds good to me

keep up the good work...

42
I come bearing more news...
unfortunately it is not very good news..  :(

dexpot has an issue if CD is on the Z-level "on bottom" - if you go to another desktop it will simply refuse to maximize CD but will refer your cursor to where the dock should be as usual

43
the strange thing is that rainmeter doesn't encounter these minimize problems. its not even in the static list for me and it still stays up and does not even minimize... interesting

44
thanks
all thanks to your tut (didn't know there was perspective in gimp  :o)

45
Tested every option on the dock on ur tut from the settings to back and all 4 desktops and all work flawlessly. the dock only minimizes on the 1st load of a desktop, after that all loads of the desktop have the dock up and not minimized.
here's the settings i have if it helps:  ;)

Hope your week improves  :(

Circle Dock / Re: How to unhide circle dock?
« on: June 16, 2010, 09:06 AM »
in the system tray down on the task bar beside the clock you'll see the circle dock icon. right click it and you'll see a bunch of options the topmost one will be show. click it and you'll have your dock back.

47
nevermind about the minimizing problem, it seemed to have fixed itself

48
tested everything and it works well. nice tut and easy to follow.

2 questions however:
1) I made circle dock a static on all desktops and it works to a degree it stays on but minimizes the dock. Is there any way to prevent this?  :tellme:
2) this doesn't have to do with the tut but where do you find these wallpapers they're amazing  :P

great job and look forward to future tuts

sounds like a big project... but nothing you can't handle

don't overexert yourself though, like you said to Ltan quite a while ago worry about your health first.

I wish you the best of luck on this project and look forward to it

if you need any graphics done i might be able to help if you wish
