UrlSnooper / Cant find wireless network adapter!!
« on: March 14, 2009, 01:12 PM »
I just installed URLsnooper 2.22.02 and WinPCap after a clean install of Vista 32bit, and it cant find a working network adapter. I remember same problem happened before clean install and I forgot how I solved that. I tried selecting network adapter manually, and then go refresh a page in IE/Firefox so that it would capture some url's,, but no help. I can see
-Realtek Ethernet NIC
-MS Tunnel Interface Driver
-Microsoft
-Microsoft
but none of these is my wireless card. Selecting one by one all of these and then trying still gives no result. Could the test string be wrong?? I dont know how to test that. Any ideas??

UrlSnooper / Cant Detect Network Adapters
« on: January 09, 2006, 10:33 PM »
I have been using UrlSnooper for a while now. Earlier it used to work absolutely fine. I have used it many times to find the urls of streaming media. But now I am trying to use it, but it doesnt detect the available network adapters. In the drop down list it only shows "generic dialup adapters". Please see the attached image.
When I click "Sniff traffic", it shows status as sniffing traffic, but I dont see any url packets or number of packets counted or anything. I have WinPcap installed, and as it used to work fine earlier, I dont think there is any problem there. I tried uninstalling old UrlSnooper and installed the newest version of UrlSnooper just couple of days ago. Still, the problem stays the same.

I use WinXP and DSL connection with ethernet adaptor installed on PC.

Thanks for any help!!!!
