I don't think i agree with you masu. Only because the left pane is like a file explorer, it shoud behave like one.
The problem is if you have several images in that folder. If you're seing the first one, you'd have to load each one of them to access the last one.
I know, you can always use the scroll bar, but I'm lazy

I think i've read somewhere that png doesn't lose quality and has compression, so it seems to me that it is the best format o use.
I have my sc configured to take screenshots on png, and when i want to send the picture to someone, i just do "save copy as" in jpg format
The only problem is having to delete the first screenshot, but i don't think i'll die for a few seconds (or will i? )

I agree with jdmarch.
Although Ruunba makes sense (i've checked the Roomba, and it seems a nice thing to keep around ), it is too similar to creative's "rhomba", and farr has nothing to do with an mp3 player

What i mean is that it needs a better name (or maybe a better achronym, since it has that problem with being farr,f&rr,fr, etc,etc..), but i just think it should be something catchy, and not similar to something existant, as it could generate confusion...
I know this isn't a very constructive critic, but i couldn't find a better name. Maybe thinking of a better achronym would be the way to go.

ps: jdmarch made a good point. There already are some good critics on farr, it wouldn't be good to lose them by changing the name too much.

hum..i see, if you use cmd more directed at .bat files,t&r can't help you with that (i think), and the directory-sensitive part sure is a limiter, since you need to have cmd open
I've just checked uberbox, (i also run bblean), and i found it quite useful, but not as much as t&r (imo). Disregarding that it looks ugly  , it's nice that it has the option to send bbroams, which can be usefull, and that is has a low footprint (if it has any..lol). But t&r allows you to do a bit more, you can create aliases with arguments, and the autocomplete function is far more advanced, as it really completes, not only with history paths but also with the ones that exist in your drive. The only problem about t&r is it's high footprint, about 7mb in ram
Anyways, please check it (it has no installation, just decompress and run ) and post your opinion!
You still don't use farr? I think it's very handy, for all those things that normal people (i.e. non-bb users) have in start menu. I used to open explorer to manually open the apps i didn't have in right-click (or middle-click,or x1click,or x2click for that matter), since i got tired of making and updating lots of menus really fast

type and run is an extremelly interesting app. I found it before i found farr, and when i found farr, i thought "well,there goes typeandrun, farr can do everything t&r does, and even more". But surprisingly, they just coexist, to be honest, i love farr, but it simply isn't as practical as t&r, that's why it's the one i use most among those two, because it's more versatile. Maybe it's my computer, but farr isn't nearly as fast finding stuff, because it has to search for it, and creating new aliases is too time consuming (and it also has strange focus problem, sometimes when i load it, it doesn't have the focus, maybe it's because of blackbox )

Honestly, i still haven't tried PowerPro, at the moment, I'm too busy (exams! ) to get lost with yet another great application.
But i believe your word when it comes to using powerpro.
I guess I'm sort of the old folk (the one that loses so much time automating everything and in the end, although everything works, he won't ever use it enough times to compensate the lost time ).

I've seen a few topics mentioning powerpro in the forum, but i haven't seen any explaining what it is exactly.
So, i went to PowerPro's site, and saw the tuturial. But it wasn't really any help, because powerpro is very featured and the tuturial is far too incomplete. So, i googled it and found this site witch has some nice flash tuturials demonstrating a few basic functions of powerpro. It got me convinced, and i will use this program in the near future, so i thought i should share it with you guys

Actually, i use alt + space when i am using the computer with keyboard only. When i am using the mouse, i find it much easier to right-click the title bar than the small box on the corner

Now I'm feeling ignorant...  That's one of the main reasons that make me use bb...
How can you activate it?
(I mean right-clicking the title bar makes the window close immediately, not choosing it from the unuseful context menu)

Yes, i was referring to more concrete examples of standardization, that ctrl+c example is simply great. Then, i change my opinion, i do agree with standards (i can't bare that emacs has such a strange way of doing copy-paste actions ). But still, i remain a bit reserved about applying it to everything, since in the other example you gave, i don't like having the close button at the right, since i right-click in the title bars of my apps to close them (another option inheriant to blackbox ) and so, i don't even have the close button. But if we expand that standard to all apps needing to have a title bar, then i do agree with you, all of them should follow that rule

IMO, standard's can be good. For instance, it would be good if windows and unix had the same filesystem organization, so as i could use linux as well as i use windows.
By now,  the linux supporters reading this, must have already came to the same conclusion i came by reading the post before this one:
standards CAN be good. But the problem is how to define the standards! In my example, i guess unix's filesystem is supposed to be far superior, and so, it should be the right choice.
But imagine the browsers situation. Many of you use firefox, i use opera, and my mother or my sister, use ie. But the question is that some days ago, i tried firefox, and hated it (as happens with all opera users, IMO), and firefox users can't use anything else, and my mother, doesn't even know that there are other browsers, and once i tried to persuade my sister to use opera, and she couldn't use it.
What i mean is that enforcing standards for everyone might not be the right way.
I think exactly the opposite that mouser thinks about standards in windows' explorer. I use another shell because i don't think explorer is flexible enough for me, and what happens is that i do everything about 2 to 3 times faster using bblean than i did when i used explorer for the sole reason that it works exactly as i configured it to work, and so, it's configured to work the way that is perfect for me, but might not be perfect for anyone else.
That is my perspective as user.
As a programmer, i can understand the absolute need for standards, the more people use the standards, the more people can use the product, is as simple as that.

I guess that's a nice concept, but it just generates one bad possibility:
It's the only market system where the consumer (ie, the donator) gives the money before seeing the end product...
For me, it would be easier the system used in donationcoder, it works exactly the opposite way, if the software is good, you donate, if you don't like it, you go elsewhere...
But from the developer's point of view, the "code ransom" system, just might be a better system, like that, the developer is sure to get the money before he put's himself to work.
IMO, the dc's system is the one that gives more trust to the donator (that, in the end, is the one that pays ), possibly it's the best system.
(or maybe a sort of hybrid system? don't know..)

Thanks mouser, that's a great article, for long time, i've wondered about that apple's one-button-mouse thing. And through that article, i even came to the conclusion that their atitude actually makes some sense!
I sure am not in the assistance, but i've helped my sister and my cousins through the telefone or im and have had similar problems with transmiting my idea to them.
But although it makes sense in the desktop, there's one thing that doesn't add up in that line of thinking:
How about the notebooks? You can't change it's touchpad unless you have an external mice, so, even if you're an experienced user, you still can't have access to the other options (at least, not with the ease you have in windows or linux)

@ edvard: It's allways nice when you find one of those in the middle of your 5000 lines of code, and can't trace it's origin
But my question was what was displayed on OSX when it finds a kernel exception. (unbelievable, i could find hundreds of pictures of blue screen of death, but only one on the bomb dialog... If i was a mac supporter, i would say that proves that mac os is more stable. Actually, my real opinion is that win95/98 were bad examples of software )

But i do agree with you, if i come to analyse all the times that win xp collapsed on me, they were almost all derived from an error i made, or a badly designed program.
