Developer's Corner / Re: PayPal fee change dust-up

paypal better make that little bolded part clear to everyone when they send money to personal accounts otherwise people will get angry, i know i would.

i backup my stuff into a dvd every time that i re-install windows. Not the best method but it's all i have since i have only one hard drive.

that's just not good enough.

you need to establish a system for backing up your documents and data much more regularly.. maybe using a free online backup service.

i know it's a crappy system but i don't have many files that i would terribly miss if my hard drive were to fail, maybe some word documents and small stuff like that. Once i get my college degree (hopefully this year) and get a job (maybe next year) i can spend some money into a PC that has a hard drive exclusively for backup purposes.

That's bad to hear, i backup my stuff into a dvd every time that i re-install windows. Not the best method but it's all i have since i have only one hard drive.

Apologies, I had to get about 12 and 3/4's winks, I pulled a 30+ hour day on the new release, and were not done yet  ;D

Am I an developer: No  8)
But I am a member of the Dev Team, and one of the forum site Admin.
My job: Go getter, Demolitions Man, Tutorials and Education, and the proverbial foot to rear-end motivator.
I have taken on the task of resurrection, now that that is accomplished, I want to ensure that Rainmeter moves forward as a community based effort.

if you follow the image below, all you need to do is right click on the Rainmeter systems tray icon, go to Config, and find the Enigma entry, follow through on the drop lists until you find HOME, click it and the start up page will appear.

If you require anything further, please do not hesitate to ask  :D

And above all else enjoy and have fun

Thank you for your response, it was pretty easy in hindsight. After doing a little tweaking my desktop looks like this:

[attachthumb = 1][/attachthumb]

Two question if you are so kind to answer again, one: how do i make the bottom black bar dissapear so that only the indicators like used RAM remain? and two: do you know any good guides or wiki for Rainmeter that can prevent me from asking you this stuff all the time?

58
you most certainly are welcome to do so, and if you hit any issues, need help, or just want to see what else is in the mix, we have a great forum growing forum  ;)

http://www.rainmeter.net/forum

If you have any questions, I can be found there regularly, shoot I can be found floating around here regularly   ;D

I might just take you on that offer since i am about to install the program just now, btw are you a developer of Rainmeter?

EDIT: How do i see again the first config screen that appears right after installing Rainmeter? the one that lets you add widgets.

59
That looks pretty damn good! might give it a try...again.

Mini-Reviews by Members / Re: Digital Game Stores
« on: August 05, 2009, 09:47 AM »
Pretty cool that you are doing this, i am sure this guide will be handy for people that are looking to buy games digitally. I have only tried Steam, GOG, Gamersgate and Impulse and my favorite by far is GOG, buying a game and installing it is so simple even a monkey could do it. The contest for free game codes that they regularly make over there are also another reason why i prefer GOG first. Steam would be second since i don't particulary like their client but they have great deals. Impulse would be third because their client app is not intrusive IMO and i only have used it once to download Galactic Civilizations II.Gamersgate would be last because i don't use them very much tough they also have great deals ocasionally plus they don't have a client which you have to use to download games.

Without owning any of those games i gotta say this pretty much sucks, a lot.Hopefully GOG manages to strike some sort of deal allowing people to download the games whenever they want.

62
Pretty cool! thinking ahead is always a good thing tough i doubt someone would want to take us out of the picture.
