I've been fumbling around with computers since '94, learning by crisis education [I'd mess around and screw up the system and then have to learn how to get it back up and running]. I've learned enough to set up a small network, trouble shoot and repair most common problems, became the IT person for all my friends and family and finally for my boss who ran a small car dealership. I've become disabled recently and have gotten back into computing for fun. I stumbled upon Donation Coder while looking for freeware as my disability checks won't start for several months. I found lots of neat software and good advice on the site and am strongly considering getting in to coding, C++ possibly. I have one problem, the medications I am forced to take make me sleepy and stupid so I'm not sure if I can learn stuff anymore. I guess I'll find out with coding. |
