As search engines begin to incorporate more and more opinion data into their results, the distinction between fact and opinion may start blurring to the point where, as David Byrne once put it, “facts all come with points of view.” http://www.nytimes.com/20...tml?pagewanted=1&_r=1Via http://www.bookforum.com/blog/4452I found this interesting, how sentiment can be incorporated into search results for companies, products or ideas, they use an example and I quote "Using Newssift, a search for Wal-Mart reveals that recent sentiment about the company is running positive by a ratio of slightly better than two to one. When that search is refined with the suggested term “Labor Force and Unions,” however, the ratio of positive to negative sentiments drops closer to one to one."

Yeah I couldnt find it on his homepage either but it was in his blog, which I used to read and I guote Sunday, June 07, 2009 WinPatrol PLUS Boycott of Brazil
I’m not usually one to mix business and politics but growing up in America you learn that sometimes you just have to stand up and make a statement. One issue in the news that hits home is the story David Goldman of New Jersey who has been trying to be reunited with his son Sean currently being held in Brazil. http://billpstudios.blogs...m/2009_06_01_archive.htmlLike I said the merits of his complaint are not the point, I tend to agree with him that it isn't right from the story he has published, but then there are usually two sides to these things as well.

I bought the thing too, but once he turned it into a method for trying to coerce governments by denying access to it for residents of that country I got rid of the thing. Whatever the merits of his argument with the other country's government it could easily leave anybody outside the USA without updates and support if needed, after all, which country will peeve him next?

Slightly off topic i guess but PDF related, I tried gdoc fusion just recently and it looks great and when it works it did all i wanted, the big problem I had was that it failed to open about 10% of my PDF files, and that was just too many. They opened ok in adobe reader and sumatra, they were the only other 2 I had at the time.

Firefox v3.5 and v3.5.1 are not beta. They are safe to use. In my experience Firefox will never tell you about updates to beta browsers, only non-beta versions. I was aware they are no longer beta, my point was that I wasn't using the beta versions and got offered the update to 3.5 via the firefox automatic notifier thingy when it came out of beta

my firefox told me there was an update to 3.5 without my going to check it manually. It asked if i wanted to proceed now or not, like it usually does. Wonder why mine seems to be behaving differently, not that it was a problem, I'd been wanting to upgrade anyway but some sites I use don't like beta browsers.

I like these lists, when looking for software I find it useful to have a starting point of some software others have found useful or are regarded as the best. From there you can research further and try different ones that seem to fit your budget and download abilities, which in my case are both quite low . So good work and thanks for sharing it with us muntealb.
