Very fine, cthorpe, no need to give you the benefit of the doubt a second time in a row when you SYSTEMATICALLY twist my words in order to "answer" to something else I never said, or even better, to make me not having said things that are obviously there. (Just a hint, though, do it "by accident", here and here, then it will perhaps go unnoticed and pass your manipulative message, but if you do it with every sentence, well, it's ineffective when it becomes too apparent.) Thank you. Wow. So that's how you treat people who are trying to help? I've re-read the enormous amount of text you have posted in this thread, and I still don't understand what it is you want or why you want it in the first place. Maybe you should take a moment and think about whether or not your posts are clear. All I do know, is that I'm done with this thread. It's not worth my time to offer free advice when you respond in such a manner. C

So you want to have a graphical interface to use keyboard shortcuts? Why the insistence on more than 2 panes if you aren't going to utilize them in any real way? If you want to input keyboard commands to move files into your sorting system, then create scripts in the program of your choice to do so. Heck, you can even create the scripts inside of DO and call them via key sequences. You clearly have a ridged set of requirements for how you are going to work with your files. Why would you expect a file manager to understand your system and work with it, when your system is yours alone? And if you want to move from "anywhere in the lot" to "anywhere in the lot," how many panes do you need? At some point you are going to have to manipulate the panes to show where you want to move the files. Once again, why demand more panes when you will just have to find the correct destination? These developers are just too lazy to implement some 80 lines of rather simple code: It's insulting. (We're not speaking of cloning and hoisting, let alone multiple tree re-arrangements in outliners (cf. Bonsai): there, you'd need real good programming capabilities for. We're speaking of core functionality and of implementation taking 2 hours of these developers' time, make it 4 incl. debugging. Njet. Not for 100 bucks apiece. And then, as tomos says, and as others have said before, DO seems to have got some probs with images, anyway.) 80 lines of simple code? This thread is many, many times that number of lines, and I still don't think we are all clear about what we are even arguing about.

If you need four panes simply to have targets to drop files into when sorting them, why not use the folder tree views? You can lock the each tree to show whatever folder you want, and then you can drag and drop whatever you want from either pane.

The conspiracy nut/pessimist in me says that there will be "pressure" or "incentives" for DRs to go back to the old days of over-prescribing addictive drugs....
A sore back? Have 6 months worth of Vicodin.
A little trouble sleeping? Valium for you and your whole family.

Having a toddler makes giving gifts to family so easy.
We just buy 9"x12" canvas board in bulk from an art supply warehouse and a bunch of tube of non-toxic, washable finger paint. Then we sit him in his booster seat with old clothes on, newspaper covering the table, and a plastic drop cloth under him.
My wife handles squirting the colors he asks for on the board and wiping his hands as necessary. I wisk away finished paintings to our drying area and drop new boards in front of him as needed.
We can easily produce 15-20 beautiful paintings in an afternoon.

The free version is always the first out of my tool-box when faced with a family member's malware laden computers. I usually talk the owner into purchasing a license to help keep them protected once I leave. Rarely do I hear complaints about the program, and rarely do I come back at a later time to find their machines infested again.
And back when I spent way too much time obsessing over security, it seemed that one of the first suggestions given on various security forums when there was a suspected infection of some kind was to run the free version of Malware-Bytes.

I expect Mr. Rutherford has a text editing software that automatically can vary a bunch of phrases - otherwise merely $20 (6,000/300) for a review really is too cheap, I think....
{Yes|Affirmative|Right you are|Yes Sir|You got it mister}. The same kind of {program|software|code|magic} that {generates|produces|makes} those {articles|stories|pages|pages of text|blatherings} that {you|people|surfers|unfortunates} {find|locate|discover|happen upon|fall victim to} on the {internet|web|world-wide-web|www|intertubes|blagosphere|blagoblag} that {read|appear|look like|render} like {a hopped-up thesaurus junkie|someone who just discovered Word's thesaurus feature|a monkey with search and replace} {took a few too many liberties|went crazy on them|hates you and everyone who might come upon that site}. And spin away...

I heard about Zenfolio a couple of years ago before I got on SmugMug. It seemed decent, but I got a discounted year at SmugMug from some bundle I picked up and promptly forgot about it. After reading over your review, I will definitely do a trial and consider moving, as I have noticed many of the things that bothered you about Smug.
I will be sure to use your referral code if that is what I end up doing.

Other Software / Found Deals and Discounts / Huge Linode Birthday Celebration Giveaway - $100+ in free VPS services

Linode is giving away $100 in credit for all new accounts to use towards any of their outstanding VPS plans. Existing users can add a linode to their account and get 3 months free. In all, they will be giving away $250,000 worth of credit, and it just started at 12:00 noon EST. As of now, they are still reporting over $200,000 in credit remaining. For both new and existing customers, you have to pay for the end of June and through July, then the credit for new accounts or 3 months of free service for exiting accounts is applied. I have been with Linode since 2009 and have never had any issues at all. They are an unmanaged VPS provider, however, so you have to administer your server on your own or pay someone to do it. If you are interested in taking advantage of this offer and are a new user, I would greatly appreciate it if you would use my referral link http://www.linode.com/?r=...22acee739c7b9109446a64f40If you don't want to use the referral link, then just head on over to their page with this link: http://linode.comThey are getting hammered right now, so it may take some time for pages to load and whatnot. There was a 2 month period where I did not have a new subscription for Norton on one machine since I wanted to wait until all my machines expired to get the full 12 months.
I uninstalled it and shifted over to Microsoft Security Essentials. I had no problems removing Norton, no problems installing MSE, and no problems going back to Norton.
Oh, and for those who are bound to wonder why I went back to a paid solution instead of MSE? MSE slowed my system down considerably compared to Norton. And full system scans took more than 24 hours (with minimal computer use and no sleeping or hibernation).
Norton is not the same plodding, system killing beast it once was.
