From what I read about her she's a nut job (and she looks the part). Considering she makes her views public, any opposing views shouldn't be Censored, even if it is satirical or mean. That's the price you pay for going public, you are a public figure....
Would it make a difference if she didn't look like 'a nut job'?

Hell in the UK children have to be taught about 'citizenship' in schools - it is now a compulsory subject - but NO ONE in the UK is a CITIZEN - we are all SUBJECTS of the crown (if you are from the UK and don't believe me look in your Passport). Citizenship classes in schools should consist of a one line statement on day one of school "there is no such thing as a UK citizen"! There done, now lets get on with speaking the Queen's English. This is an urban myth Carol. I don't know what's in your passport, but mine says I'm a British Citizen.

Have a listen to Manuel Göttsching's E2-E4 from about 1980ish. Not only is it a great house record from 5 years before anyone had invented house, not only did it form the basis of the Balearic Beat sound a decade later, not only did act as midwife for sampletastic stuff like Sueno Latino, but most importantly of all: if I start it playing it as I get on the train to work, it'll just be finishing an hour later as we slow down on the final approach into Victoria - perfect

I'd be surprised if you can find something that addresses your first point. Far better to give your teachers the skills to create strong, engaging designs without losing Powerpoint's flexibility. I'd suggest Death By Powerpoint for a good presentation specific introduction, and Robin Williams' The Non-Designer's Design Book for general design skills. For the second point, have a look at Adobe Captivate or Articulate - Flash based elearning authoring tools. Though why your teachers think their students will learn by watching an instructor run through a slideshow, no matter what authoring package they used, is beyond me. It's not the 1950s any more If you want a quick and dirty solution, then just remove the formatting. Completely. 18 point Times Roman black on white background might be the dullest design ever, but at least the design won't distract from the content. Please, I don't want to know how bad the content is

Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Dell: No refunds for Linux users who reject Microsoft's OS EULA

I don't understand how Dell are responsible for the refund. It's MS's EULA, not theirs.
Unless Dell have separately agreed to underwrite the cost of the returns with MS.
The EULA explicitly says "return it to the retailer". Dell sold the copy of Windows why should MS reimburse you directly? If they did then Dell would keep the money they received for the sale and MS would cough up the refund - that would not make any sense. MS Should be the ones reimbursing because it's MS giving the purchaser the right to return the software under MS's own EULA. You can't force a liability on a third party just by telling people to ask them for money Dell's contract with the purchaser is 'Give us some money, we'll give you this computer with W7 on it'. Dell would only be responsible if they'd got an agreement with MS to underwrite these returns. Which on reflection they probably have. In which case I've answered my own question and really ought to stop typing now
