Do you have any error message to show? Because with no errors/pictures, I can only guess.
I'm searching the wilder forum and someone had a similar problem. He changed the copy function and the problem's solved.

This is the link I found.

I found fastmail.fm to be usable for situations like this.
Anyone has any experience with FastMail free service?

Will you get spam for no reason eg. hotmail/yahoo?
5  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Where do I get Copy To .. and Move To .., and more? on: March 05, 2007, 08:55:40 AM
You can download the tweak guide for XP at this site:
http://www.tweakguides.com/

Page 117 will teach you to add "Copy To" & "Move To" to context menu.

PS: The guide doesn't allow me to copy text & I can't upload the pic here. Afraid you have to download the pdf file.

nudone,
The wizards is very straightforward for the application firewall. For the other wizards, you might need to get someone experienced to help you. smiley

No big deal if they require details, just make stuff up.

Kimmchii,
Agreed, Lite and Simple. LnS is a very good investment. You can use it out of the box. It is the "No Nonsense" Firewall.
It's not free but you only need to pay once. smiley

Hi Guys,

Received a newsletter from Raxco. There's a 20% discount code for PerfectDisk But it works for FD-ISR too.
Here it is:
Q1ENL2007

Expiry Date:
16 March '07

Hope this can help. Enjoy cheesy

Urlwolf,

Uninstall works perfectly for FD-ISR. You can keep the snapshots after you uninstall.
Usually, Raxco's version will be a few weeks later after Leapfrog release.

This is how I use FD-ISR:

- Gaming Snapshot
I keep everything to a minimal. Since I play games offline, no AV, no real time monitor, etc. My snapshot size is only 1.5 gb after compression.

- Backup Snapshot
If the main snapshot gets screwed, I use this backup to recover.

- Main Snapshot
This is the snapshot I use for everything else. Surfing, BetaTesting, Work, etc.
I always backup before installing new software/updates. Backup takes about 1 min for me.

- Guest Snapshot
Everything locked down. cheesy

I don't think RestoreIT can let you have many different scenarios to work with.
Rollback Rx made me format my harddisk with their early version. After that, no more Rollback for me.

I recommend FD-ISR. cheesy You can trial it first since install/uninstall works.

I think there is a nag screen if your subscription ended. Not sure if they will change that annoying factor.
You can visit AV-Comparatives for a report on these software.

http://www.av-comparatives.org/

It's under Comparatives - Comparative of various protection tools. Nice Review.

PS: Can't link to their subpages due to their policy.

Not sure if you know this, there's a yearly subscription fee. You have to search their forums for it.
There are free alternatives to Defensewall like GesWall, Sandboxie and Bufferzone.

This is a great software. Using it since last year. Very stable unlike Rollback Rx.
Support with Raxco is also excellent for me.

Upgrade is free for minor versions only. With "Protection" policy, major upgrades are free.

to AdIyhc: That might be AVG's fault too though, If it goes through the filter before/after IE accesses the net avg may think the browser has been hijacked. I will look into your problem though.
Leave some Details (os/version,avg version, browser) ect,.. =) Without details you can't get your problem fixed.

OS - Windows MCE 2005
AVG IS - 7.5.433
Browser - IE 7/FireFox 2.0

Hope this info can be of help. cheesy
And thanks for looking into it.

Conflict with my AVG Firewall. Can't access the internet when using sandboxed browser.
Best security indeed, I can't surf the net at all.

I use Alcohol 52% Free to play my games and it works very well. It's better than those virtual cd emulators with a gamelist because non english games works too.

23  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Free Windows firewalls found better than commercial ones on: December 08, 2006, 07:51:10 PM
Yes I spotted that - but before I spend more money that I can't afford it would be good to see comparisons of such utilities if there are any ?

PG vs SSM : http://www.wilderssecurit...ght=system+safety+monitor
See the post by Paranoid2000

SSM or other HIPS : http://www.wilderssecurit...ght=system+safety+monitor
Some useful links in the first page

The free version of SSM is actually an old version.

Hope this helps.
24  Main Area and Open Discussion / General Software Discussion / Re: Free Windows firewalls found better than commercial ones on: December 08, 2006, 02:29:27 PM
I have not come across "System Safety Monitor" - does anyone know of any comparisons of these types of tools - I have ProcessGuard, ApplicationGuard and RegDefend but I haven't used them in a while - maybe it is time to try them again but it would be good to know about useful alternatives too.
There's a 50% competitive upgrade for System Safety Monitor. More info here: https://www.syssafety.com/default.html
Active development, etc.

It's like PG+RegDefend together.
25  Other Software / Found Deals and Discounts / Re: Ashampoo Burning Studio 2007 on: December 08, 2006, 01:36:26 PM
Actually you can pay only $7.99 if you use the link from their newsletter. I got it for $7.99 today and the newsletter expired last month. Same goes for their other products.

AShampoo rocks!
